Its similar to Irma too. Remember 3 days before impact it was slated to be well on the east side of florda not actually making landfall. instead it went up the WEST side of florida lol. We aren't in the clear guys!

I live on the most southwestern part in puerto rico..went shopping Wednesday just for a few canned items and a couple gallons of h2o..and saw a few people in the stores buying water, but they weren't just buying a couple bottles, some people were buying 10..14 packages of 16 oz., 24 bottles per pack..I bought one package 8 bottles 67 oz..each bottle.. the way i see it..over purchasing..then other plp. don't get to buy any water, cause some buyers are hoarding it..

I've been through 2 bad hurricanes, one that took away my home, and I'm only 13. When you live in Florida, that shit aint nothin. Now I live in Georgia, and I am HIGHLY disappointed that I wont be able to see this hurricane play out.
Im just glad it's remaining small but we have a very detailed weather person right here who knows how to give people the information they need. At least its going to stay off the coast. Its now a Category 5. The northern Bahamas is going to get pummeled. If you have someone who lives in Freeport Bahamas please go help them after this monster leaves the area.
Never loved a Weather man well the local DC NBC4 guy but just for looks. That died out. Now I’m into a the actual weather, the actual world of Hurricane terminology. Year after year I look for Tim 🐼.
The Gulf Coast might bring the track further southwest The north trend has a chance to change. East coast of Florida is not out of the woods. A hurricane can change speed rapidly
how are the people reacting there in the main problem areas? im here thousands of miles away in europe and can hardly imagine how you guys must feel inside. im getting goosebumps everywhere and even nauseous if i really think about that situation. since these hurricanes seem to nearly always punch the same areas, does this make it any better for your feeling, meaning that you already know or already experienced horrendous hours like that, so you dont freak out completely? or doesnt it matter at all and you all are still afraid as fuck? wow and if you think about the US coast and how bad it can be there in a few days - WHAT THE HECK is with the people on the bahamas?! 5 days ago i watched holiday videos from eleuthera and saw offers to rent some wooden "appartements" for a beautifuö holiday with clear blue water and shit. and now people are there, thinking they will have awesome 10 or whatever days and then these warnings occur. not even warnings - all models show that the northern bahamas will get fucked horribly. these are fucking islands. tiny islands without real safe houses or so but only cottages who will probably get ripped away. i mean, what are you going to do if you are there, now during this exact second? this fucks with my brain. its so so horrible (BTW: this is by far the best informational video out there right now. i will keep staying on this news channel for further information. even though its kinda bizarre to literally watch how a hurricane maybe causes death and massive damage to thousands of peoples homes. it feels wrong but its to interesting to act like nothing is happening)

I live in Miami and I can tell you, we’ve seen these things so much that we have an unrealistic trust in our buildings and structures. People were on the beach today lol. The Bahamas are a completely different story. All you can do is pray for favorability. It’s basically a cat 5. So it really doesn’t look good for them
@ i think many americans have a something like a bunker/safe room underneath the house or isnt this the case in general or for example just in florida they dont have that really because people rather build cheaper houses there because the risk is quite high that it gets damaged through a hurricane or so anyway and thereofore the floridians (?) dont hsve any safe rooms usually? i think normal, bigger concrete buildings should be a safe place to be? and the bahamas yes, i mean - how can the people on the targeted isles there survive at all? this kinda sounds like the people who stay there (willingly or not) will maybe die, every single one of them?? i never was on the bahamas, neither in florida or the US in general. do you know where people can watch good livestreans during this all is happening? are there good official ones? i think so hm? shit, i hope this crazy big motherfucker gets blown back in the ocean before reaching any cities. i is still a possibility, so thats at least no bad news.
