I am a gastric bypass post-op patient who also happens to be a primary health care provider. After many years talking to and treating patients on their own weight loss surgery journeys, I decided to have surgery myself. On my channel I discuss my own challenges, successes and updates regarding the process.

Kaki, I had my surgery Tuesday. I had a few complications and the surgery took 5 1/2 hours but all is good. My doctor was able to do the RNY instead of the sleeve. I am thankful for that. I am having minimal pain but a lot of discomfort and nausea. I am so excited to be starting this journey. I look forward to more of your videos. Love to you and Happy Birthday! ♥🌺

Great video Kaki. Firstly, happy birthday 🎉 I had three misconceptions before my surgery: I could eat what I want and still lose weight I would lose weight without having to do any exercise I would never be able to eat out again Of course, all of them were wrong 😂

Happy Birthday Kaki ! I'm 7 months post op at 183 lbs goal is 152 but I'm on another stall . I see my doctor soon ... I'm down 80 lbs ! Any stall advice ?

Congrats on your weight loss! Do you log your food in an app? The first thing that I always do is go back and look at what has changed- have my macros changed, ie more carbs or fats, less protein? Have I added more processed snacks like protein bars or chips, tortillas, etc?
