Thanks for the heads up on the weather stripping. My door seals have shrunk something fierce and I figured I was going to have to buy OEM as the last time I looked I wasn't able to find anything aftermarket for the doors. So much appreciated.
I have been running it since start without issues. Only now it seemed to give problems, but I finally found out why. I had accidentally put the hoses onto it wring way around at some point and it caused it to stuck open or closed depending on situation. Thus causing wavy boost levels and overboosting
4:25 wont alternator work even w/o pickup wire? i seen multiple ones (from bmw engines) that didnt needed it to start charging immediately.. also had same problem with alternator in my corolla, even i had video with sparks and everything where tantalum cap bursted randomly when i plugged another speeduino ecu on newer harness i made... had to replace alternator in my case, but sounds that 044 fuel pump made at 18-20V were mindblowing :D was like having fighter jet under the car 6:32 same, n75 didnt work in friends car that i tuned, i guess too small air passages as i never had problems wih mac valvec, even one in my corolla has cracked plastic housing (dunno from what) but works for 4years straight maybe pierburg unit from m57 could work better than n75
Nope it wont work. Alternator always needs +12 applied to wake it up (provide power to rotor, because it doesn't have permanent magnets). After that, the alternator provides own power to keep it going. The n75 problem is now fixed. At some point working on the engine bay I had plugged the hoses to it wrong way around and because of it, it was stuckopen or closed, depending on the duty.

Joo olihan siinä tehoa, vaan tuo ahdin alko oikeesti vasta nousemaan kartalle 😅 Vian sain selville, mutta vasta bimmerpartyjen jälkeen... olin jossain vaiheessa tuota konehuonetta siistiessä laittanu letkut väärinpäin n75:een. Se kyllä "toimi" silti, mutta paineen noustessa jumitti joko kokonaan auki tai kiinni.
Hey, just wondering your opinion on the m52 vs m50 intake manifold, how restrictive is it up high in the rpm, I understand the torque is better down low
I've had both on an naturally aspirated m52b28. There's a very noticeable drop in low end torque with the m50 manifold but then it continues to make good power in the upper rpms. The original manifold seems to really choke the car above 5k rpm. However, I'm planning to switch back to the original manifold when I turbo my m52b28 because the forced induction should make up for the top end while maintaining low end torque off boost... At least, that's what I hope. Looks like Pazi88 has proven this to be fine up to and beyond 500bhp. If going for more power then a better flowing manifold would make it easier but then you're fighting traction even more
The restrictive is bit wrong word. The m52 and m50 intakes are just tuned differently to give best torque at different rpm points. The m50 intake gives nice 25-30hp increase on stock m52b28 by costing same amount of low end torque. But when there is boost, those NA-resonances become quite meaningless. So it's better to have the m52 intake for more low end torque, because as said earlier, the turbo makes the top end power. As much as you want

Tuo käyrä on nyt vähän hämäävä, kun tuo ahdinhan on aika "iso", mutta siitä nyt puuttuu se paras vetoalue aivan kokonaan noiden ahtojen karkaamisen vuoksi. Samalta ne nuo muutkin käppyrät saman kokoluokan ahtimilla näyttää: www.btcf.fi/forum/showthread.php?t=364482 Kyllähän se toki menee ahdoille jo 2500 jälkeen, mutta kun sekä kompura että nokat ei vielä toimi siellä, niin ei alhaalla tapahdu "yhtään mitään".
@@M104tbo Ihan kuten noissa m52:ssa tehtaalta on. Ei oo mitään muuta muutettu kuin että kaasuläpälle menee nykyään silikooninen putki, kun oon muutaman orggis kumisen räjäyttäny.
