At 2:04 you are able to change the file destination, and after you press next the BIOS update utility opens up, however when i accept the terms and conditions, the wizard does not give me the option to save destination; it automatically saves to The C Drive (programfilesx86) - like it installed on my Acer laptop, and the BIOS update utility doesn't pop up after that, so i cant create the recover USB flash drive... i even restored my system to before i even installed anything so that maybe it would work, but it did the exact same thing... +JD Jorge There is a difference between Windows not loading and a computer not starting. It all comes down to what the actual issue is. If you are getting to the point of a logo or Windows splash screen coming up, but then not progressing, then you are likely still able to get into the BIOS. On the other hand if your computer shows no sign of any activity, no LEDs, no sound of the hard drive spinning up, then you have a completely different issue compared to what this is to help. +Shahadat Hossain If you have an HP notebook PC that shipped with Windows 10, you should not attempt to downgrade to Windows 7 or Vista. Changing the operating system (OS) can cause severe operational problems. Many of the components, such as sound, video, graphics, network connectivity, drives, or other devices and peripherals, may have limited functionality, or may not work at all. You should do some research on the support policies of hardware and software manufacturers, and review the problems experienced by other users before you consider changing the operating system.
+MrLalliGrewal After the upgrade did you check in Device Manager to see if the graphics adapter is showing up without an error? Checking the support page for your model there are no drivers for it for Windows 10. You can try using the native Windows 10 drivers, or try installing the original video driver for Windows 7 using compatibility mode in Windows 10. Le me know if that helps at all.

What is the exact error message you are getting? Some BIOS updates cannot be reverted once installed. This may be one of them. There is a similar issue when upgrading an operating system. Some BIOS files need to have a specific set of Operating systems installed in order to update. If the OS is not one of the those recognized by the file, a BIOS will not update. This has created the situation of a BIOS fix being available, but someone updated to Windows 10 before installing the BIOS update, and now that update will not install. You would need to revert the OS installation, to be able to install that earlier BIOS. You may be running into one of those sorts of issues.

I updated a DV7-1150US from Vista to Windows 10. I utilized DISKPART to clean the hard drive and then Formatted it. I did a clean install of WIndows Vista then upgraded to Windows 10. Everything was working perfectly fine UNTIL I went to the HP website and updated my original BIOS (Compal version F10) and utilized the flash that came with the update from HP. After i did the update, I went straight to the black screen of death and turned my computer into a paperweight. It blinks 4 times to indicate a "graphics" problem...which is either bullcrap or the update fried my graphics driver... I can't even access the BIOS. I've tried the Windows Key+B...nothing. I tried to download this utility but it goes right to the Insyde installer instead of asking me to create a disk or USB. Nothing works...maybe a 12 gauge shotshell to the computer may help...

HP Pc Hardrive Diagnostics UEFI i have only 3 options 1.System Information 2. Hardrive test 3. Exit my bios version is 1.6.0.0-BIOS (f.1c) . .please help me how to fix it
You need the full UEFI Diagnostics either on the HDD Tools Partition, or a USB Drive. The options you have are only the very basic Mainboard tests. Google "HP Diagnostics" to find the HP support page, download the Softpaq to create the latest version (currently v6.1.1.0) and create your own bootable USB EUFI Diagnostics which can be accessed via F2 at power on. Then you will have the option for Firmware update. You can install the Firmware files onto the same UEFI USB Drive. Easy peasy. Updating is three automatic steps. Writing the update file, verifying it and then finally flashing the BIOS. Less then 5 minutes but this process only works on G1 & G2 units, G3 units must be done from the BIOS itself (F10) but you still need the correct BIOS .bin file on a USB drive.
@@AshokKumar-wt6gs hey man, install the HP UEFI PC hardware diagnostics from the same HP page, from the model of your computer and follow the steps of the video, if you need help write me without problems ;)
