Yes xuv300 is safest car anywhere in the world. It has Global ncaap rating of 5 stars. I have seen many accidents of xuv300 at high speeds in India and everyone survived in those accidents hence I bought one myself.

Also, nowadays indian cars are known for their safety, and lemme tell u, xuv300 is pretty safe, like if u look at indian brands like tata and mahindra, most of their new cars are getting 5 star ncap ratings, and also u can find many vidos online showing how mahindra and tata cars are much safer than the competetion

I am proud owner of xuv300 W6 amt car and it works great. I never had any issues except headlight and music system which I got replaced in 2 weeks of me getting the car delivery.

I have a 2019 Venue Sx diesel, . Here are some terrible issues I face. - Biggest issue, It's suspension is horrible, you'll get tired of bumps. Brezza and Nexon both are very cushioned and comfortable. I have to keep the tyre pressure at 26psi(very low) compared to Nexon and Brezza's 33 psi. And those cars are still comfortable despite 33 psi.. - Low end torque is horrible too. That means you need to change gears again and again when the speed increases or reduced even a bit. What I mean to say is that when you pass over through speed breakers or pits on roads in gear No.2 which people usually do, you'll have to use half-clutch for a long time or either put it in gear no.1. You'll get tired to gearshifts and using half clutch. I also drove Nexon and brezza, both of them do not have such issues. Both of them could easily pass through speed breakers in gear No.2, without any half clutch. Note :- I have 2019 sx 1.4 ltr diesel, I don't know how 1.5 ltr diesel or 1.0 petrol perform on this issue. . 3rd Which most car reviewers do not tell you :- Getting in and out of the car is a challenge, Believe me you really got to twist your body to get out of the car. compare it with Nexon, you'll find the difference. It's much comfortable in Nexon and brezza both. . 4th - It's ABS is very deadly, when u go on high speed and there comes a series of pits on road, when you apply breaks you want the car to slow down significantly, but as soon as the wheel hits the 1st pit out of many, the break pads just release the discs due to the jerk it receives from the pit, the ABS does that to avoid the wheel from being locked. But what this does is, it doesn't stop the car for the next pits and you end up getting into the pit at high speed with that terrible suspension, it literally feels like your suspension is broken. . 5th - It's infotainment system is shit, whenever you start the car, the songs start playing from the very beginning, from song No.1 on the list. That means you'll have to listen to those 5-10 songs repeatedly again and again. It's very hard to hold your calm on this small but disturbing issue. . DOES you MAHINDRA have these issues too?

It's like century old by now. They just released the newer models to overseas markets recently you might wanna upgrade.

In India people won't spend money on an unreliable car. That is one thing for sure. They want the best of both worlds- affordable price and reliability. Mahindra and TATA produce good quality cars for an average middle class person. I have driven XUV 700 and the pick up is nuts for its size.

Love our W8 XUV300 (also have a S11 pik-up), but it has really quirky software that causes all the instruments and warning lights to go crazy, sometimes park distance indicators simply don’t work, same for cruise control, and the speedo will suddenly go to 220 when I am standing still! Makes me doubt the safety rating!

idk like, tht kind of lag in the infotainment system is not present in the indian model, also, do check out the xuv700 and the scorpio n (lol ppl here in india are calling it a fortuner killer now)

I agree The infotainment system in xuv300 is not good even in india the screen and interior does not feel upmarket .Screen in india is different it does not lag but it surely sometimes restart on its own and it has wired android auto and apple car play i think they should really have given screen like xuv700 or scropio n with their new andreno x software.i also own this xuv300 to me it look like a cheetah

We do NOT know if it is safest because it has less electronic support like lane assistant or that type. But trust me this car is more safe than VW (body shell wise) .It is better than polo and people who love to drive they buy this one or polo or nexon

A new update is expected in another 6-9 months along with its ev variant. This one is 5 year old car, so it is like that. New update will have all the fixes that you are expecting. For now better buy xuv700 or scorpio N for better experience.

There's something wrong with the one you have. That display does not take that much time to load. I don't think there will be any difference between Indian and South African version.

It is indeed a good car. 5 star rated on Gncap. I feel very proud as an indian to see that you drive a made in india car. And i feel stressed that you are having minor issues. I want to offer some perspective having had the privilege to live and work abroad to see us from another lens To me, we indians in general arent very tech savvy as we have historically been made out to be. What is the last globally successful app or service you use everyday? apps, websites in india, barring a select few, are horrible. the CEO of freshworks, an indian himself makes this point in all his public conversations. My sister, 5 years younger to me, in her early 30s, uses an iphone but has no clue about tech and how it can benefit her. I find this to be the case with many my age in india. finally indina consumers do not track what good car tech is in other markets. So collectively, the demands for sophisticated tech remains very basic. maybe a carplay, a switch here, a switch there versus more advance car tech that you find in Europe for instance. Clearly, these roll up to auto makers in india so there is no need to really get the car tech right. As a result quality suffers. finishing (the last mile of quality) suffers as well. Additionally we arent also very design focused. The cars are made for india, by Indians. Sure there may be 1-2 outside trips to seek inspiration or the occasional googling. But unlike say, the Scandinavians, who innately get design, we don’t. See our cities before you land, peel through our auto history and you might be understand. So, i m not completely surprised that you find tech and design deficiencies. i don’t think they are car deficiencies but put more broadly small misses and our general myopia, towards what really tech+design is. Second, these cars are made in india primarily to serve indians. And us indians, we are usually OK with 1-2 things breaking. after our initial honeymoon is over with the car, you will find a cliff drop in the conditions of our cars (check out our second hand market cars). now that again, is us. and auto makers are as indian as auto consumers. Clearly, when it comes to business, certainly appealing to a non india market, we need to deliver. But we arent even aware that a different market might have different standards. So that is another deficiency that finds its way into how we build cars. Lastly, I want to dash your hopes with Anand mahindra or for that matter any industrialist coming out of india. They are largely inaccessible. except posting on twitter stories of valor, inspiration (usually predicated on poverty of the person), our industrialists will remain mute most times. I sometimes wonder what is it that they do. anyway, i hope this was useful. hope you find luck with him! Cheers!.
