Great review, very helpful. One question: when using this for Crossfit, let's say you have a workout where you are wearing wrist wraps and can't wear the watch... are you able to wear a POLAR heart rate sensor chest strap and then input that data into the same app to calculate Cardio Load?
Hey! Yes for sure. You really don’t have to wear the watch if it’s connected to a chest strap. Plus with polar you can connect the chest strap to polar beat app and it will port over to polar flow and update your training load there too. Good question!
@@fitgearhunter Thanks so much for all of your helpful videos. After many hours of watching your various videos over the past 2 days I came to a decision and ordered the Garmin Forerunner 245. I'm also planning on getting the Polar H9 strap for my Crossfit WODs but I'm unclear of how these work together. If I decide NOT to wear the Garmin watch during the workout and just the chest strap, do I pair the chest strap with my watch or do I pair it with my phone and Polar Beat app and then transfer the data into Garmin Connect? Or do I have to have the Garmin watch within a certain distance of myself while wearing the chest strap? What's the protocol? Or is it easiest for me to just buy a Garmin HR chest strap?
I just purchased the polar verity sense which i love...i had no idea my trainer wanted to also know my heart rate when i wake... cause the dang on verity sense doesn't do it..ugh Only reason i didn't buy the watch was due to accuracy and i already wear a watch...
@@fitgearhunter thanks polar is great with questions. They gave me great detail about a usb plug and it's voltage so I don't damage my polar watch. Thank You.
@@fitgearhunter thanks for your response. So I'm trying to decide between polar ignite, ignite 2 and garmin 245. I already have an oh1+ so I'm already in polars ecosystem so that's why I have been considering polar but what do you suggest and why? P. S. I really like your reviews so I've subbed, keep up the good work 😉
Very helpful comparison, thank you!☺️ definitely helped me decide that the Ignite is a better choice for me. + a bit of constructive criticism if that's okay :) this video felt a little rugged because you switched clips in the middle of talking. Avoiding that would make the video feel a lot more professional ☺️ keep up the good work!
Hey! Yes I appreciate all of the feedback, and I tooooootally agree. This video was especially choppy and I didn’t feel great about the flow at all, but the main goal is always to make sure I get the primary information communicated for people to make decisions, especially when there is a new watch released like the Unite was here at the time. A main factor in general that I struggle with is I have limited time to edit or make videos with a busy normal life, and also I am not advanced at it! I will work on it though - definitely want to get better and better with it. Thanks for commenting!
