Please VW/Skoda listen to this man! He is an ardent well-wisher of you. But very knowledgeable at the same time. It's emotional for him and many like him to see good products from your company falling behind others because of small things.
VW /Skoda doesnt need turbo engine both the Cars have excellent stability/Handling which other Cars like seltos /Creta have worst stability . Even handling is an issue in Creta/Seltos . What is use the If u have all disc brake in Hyundai Tucson if apply very sharp sudden braking , vehicle will wobble /it may topple . Worst stability in Hyundai/kia . This fellow is crap
This man's view is exactly 💯 percent correct. Those who are existing skoda customers/wishing to buy one looking for this sort of improvements when compared to dynamics and safety of hyundai and maruti!
As a car enthusiast and Taigun owner, I agree with all your points…Hope VW listens to your advice.🎉 Agar ye bhi Ford ki tarah gaye tab log bolenege yaar kya car banate the plz wapas aa jao😂
Easiest way to deal with Size factor of Kushaq/Taigun by making tagline "Size doesn't matter but Performance, Dynamics matters"🗿 For long lasting performance, buy Volkswagen,"Das Auto"..Skoda,"Simply Clever".
The most amazing thing you have said in this video is giving many features in the top variant and price it high. This will drive huge sales of lower variant also. This is a genius marketing technique which the Koreans understand!
I guess that is why the customers are increasingly choosing to run after tin can cars with naturally aspirated engines instead of Turbo charged engines, sorted dynamics, best in class safety and maximum wheelbase.
@@JainArpitPeople don't trust Skoda-VW. They have great products but their reputation is in the gutter. They're known for unreliability and bad customer support. I'm not saying VW has those issues but that's how the brand is perceived in India. They also have limited reach so a lot of people who don't have a VW showroom nearby would never consider their products simply due to horror stories of unreliability.
@@alburaq3290 The same was true 6 to 7 years back. Not anymore and certainly not after introduction of VW2.0. Consistent sales is evident of that fact.
@@alburaq3290 time and trust are subjective concepts and can neither be quantified or relied upon. Their imported vehicles are imported parts and there was a delay in fetching the parts upon their breakdown. There wasn’t any other concern or any bad customer service on offer. Being owner of taigun Gt I really wish for these updates... 360 camera Front collision avoidance Better audio system Better horn Better rear seat One touch power windows Better button and plastic quality inside. Manual hvac controls. Full size instrument cluster I really hope that vw listens through your platform..
VW/Skoda should have advertised their strength ie Driving dynamics, stability, fun to drive nature, paint,Build Quality etc by doing Ad Campaign simplest Hindi language ie 1) "Isko chalaoge to segment me baaki cars bhul jaoge" 2) "Paint Quality aisi ki saalo baad bhi gaadi dikhe nayi jaisi" 3) After closing the door " Volkswagen...Build Quality, Safety jo feel karaye Tank jaisi"/ Build Quality that feels like a Tank.. 4) "Ek baar chalakr to dekho" 5) "Turbo Engines jo chalate hi chehre pr muskurahat laaye" etc All this lines are created by me while writing this comment so VW/Skoda should give me credits if they use this lines😅😂(Just kidding)
Maine kal hi nai Kushaq 1.5 DSG ghar lai. Yeh meri first car hai. I made my decision after watching all your videos and felt confident to go ahead and purchase. Lately I realised that driving dynamics and engines should be the first priority.
Sunderdeep bro aapka Har ek Point noticeable hai, polo Jaisi sasti car me tinted glass, under body cover, hood insulation, powerful horn, interior plastic quality vgraih sab kuch tha,at least yeh sab cheezein toh VW ko deni chahiye thi….hope ki jldi VW sab fix kr de😊
Must haves for Top variants 1. 360 degree camera 2. All four disc brakes 3. Rat mesh under the engine 4. Reclining back seats 5. Manual A/c control 6. Sliding door blinds 7. 225- 50- R17 tyres
I agree to the point you mentioned about size…Taigun/Kushaq looks and feels closer to sub 4m segment rather than above 4m, dimensions should be fixed immediately, also other high selling points can include panoramic sunroof and a good audio system with 360 camera…customer can’t compromise on these basics…everything else is sales multiplier
vw/skoda needs some updates but i think their primary focus is good drive + great build. the market sentiment here focus i think is more on feature/gimmicks or mileage which is why kia/hyundai/maruthi are successful despite of questionable build qualities. on the other hand tata and mahindra build quality is great and engines are decent too…so id compare vw/skoda to them. Having said that, yea reasonable updates to some features would make their price point more attractive
360 camera na bhi mile but Better Rear Camera with adaptive guidelines ki kaafi zarurat hai... Hyundai apni exter me bhi better camera deta hai with adaptive guidelines..... ye chhoti chhoti cheeze bohot impact daalti hai gaadi ki sales pe
I have bought Kushaq 1.0AT last year and driven 16k km till now. Car is fabulous but given a chance to buy again for same cost I would chose Elevate today. Reasons 1. Air leakage inside cabin, even when AC is OFF 2. AC performance in peak summer 3. Rattling and squeezing noise 4. High assesories and part cost 5. Low resale value 6. AC touch panel is risky to operate while driving. 7. Interior doesn't look premium 8. Look small on road 9. Manual gearbox isn't smooth
Planning to buy top model virtus.....but look at top model's price difference... Verna top model with ADAS -2 is 21 lac... virtus top model costs 23.5lac.....without ADAS....both cars have 5 star safety..... Why should I buy virtus over Verna....which is without ADAS and costs me 2.5lac extra??????
Agree with you. These cars are matchless in their price segment and sheer pleasure to drive. However, public perception focuses more on gizmos. Besides, other manufacturers are tweaking their cars to pass safety tests despite having a relatively unstable structure. SAVW really need an updated, fully loaded top model.
I love there design I still loves rapid although I have slavia 1.0 style NSR but whenever I see rapid on the road I just love it and as the slavia came it just becomes a hit. Those who goes for funky design cars, then Germans are not meant for them. The true Škoda VW lovers wants a timeless design and an update after 5-6 years. My slavia turned 2 years now and I think it is beautiful than all other cars verna, city, seltos etc. I just love them and with this design and features I am ready to spend another 5 more years. No need for ADAS now. I just love my slavia as it is
I agree with Sunder ji. I recently visited vw and few other car brands. VW needs to upgrade the product line. Forget korians. Tata\Mahendra are uplifting the games.
Panaji breaking to vw ki best h with 2 discs only and seats ahi boot comfy h. You'll notice it when u travel in them for long distance bilkul fatigue nhi hote usme rest amazing video
5:02 yeh toh apne dil ki baat chin li Virtus slavia kya gazab ki presence deti hai But taigun kushaq utni nahi deti Brezza ke segment ki size lagti hai kai baar
Adas I can't comment on, but 6 airbags as standard, rear disc brakes, tint glass (GV top variant has this I guess) and rotary AC knob should be definitely given. 360 degree camera can be an accessory I think because you already have the button for it. Hood insulation and underbody cover together will cost under 5000 bucks. They are not even selling it as an accessory. There's one small game changer I can think of: How about instead of goodyear and MRF tyres, VAG gives an option to upgrade to atleast a brigestone turanza (awesome grip, but noisy) or some Michelin?
I agree definitely with must have features, 4 disk+ parking button is a must, or else they will just add a drum brake within rear disk just to save money and make it complicated futher , instead of lever. Sounds with 4 tweeters and 4 speakers are doable should be 50w a pair.
Brilliant analysis as usual Paaji 💯🤘🏻 Skoda-Volkswagen both cars from them Taigun/Kushaq no doubt require major upgrade as highlighted. The international face-lift is already out with major upgrade and design change known as T-Cross and interior changes as well. Agreed that they should improve on many quality points in terms of fit and finish especially in interiors. If they do not give ADAS as well its fine but 360 degree camera fit & finish improvement and features of polo that they have taken out should be brought back in. Also now Skoda VW will announce their plan on 27th Feb about their products and plans. They are open to partnership and already Mahindra & JSW are in race for buying stake for EV business. Volkswagen already is working on Low cost EV headed by Skoda. Secondly the sub 4 meter SUV which is being again built on MQB-A0-IN platform I read only Skoda will come in that segment Volkswagen might enter or may not enter that segment. I feel Volkswagen should also enter the segment. And they can also spawn a hatchback. The tax rule in which they can bring in 2000 units of cars from outside India like they brought in T-ROC earlier. I feel they should try to sell Skoda Scala with 1.TSI that would do Amazing stuff for them if the price comes on right point. 💯🤘🏻
I owned VW Vento Tdi 1.6 Highline and am completely spoiled by One Touch Up-Down Anti-Pinch All four Power Windows. I didn't find it easier to switch to new VW's without this one feature. Vento is even today no match for Virtus but top notch product
VW/SKODA need a Hatchback and good one. They need new launches. Thing is we need Competition and not monopoly of 1-2 brands. Elevate is BORING trust me. Hyundai engine is equally good and turbo is WOW All car brands need sales for good consumer benefits.
One imp point , cluth travel is big issue in both Skoda & VW manual variants . We could compromise on features at one point but not driving experience because nobody wants to hurt their knees in bumper traffic. And major AC issue such a basic thing to address.
I admire your love for VW/Skoda.. they should listen to you.. they have everything to be dominant player and rightly so .. but they lack intent probably.. they should listen to the Indian market
Great list of points. But whatever be the case. Have driven a Vento for 6 years and Now a Taigun Topline for 6 months or so. Will never buy a car apart from a Volkswagen. Drive quality, refinement and driving dynamics are unmatched
They should either reduce the price or increase the dimension for the price. There is a complete disconnect. Even Honda was able to price elevate better than what VW ever could.
Paaji after waiting for almost 1 year, I have booked slavia 1.0 Style MT black. Got a good discount as it's December 2023 stock. Will take delivery next week
@@rohansharma5720 I got 95k discount on the style variant as it was vin 23 (Dec). You can get 1.5 lakh discount on vin 23 easily at this time. I got 95k because it's black 1.0 and there were many people interested in that colour and black colour is now coming only in 1.5l elegance edition with 40 days waiting
Shaabash Paaji! Agar drive pasand hain tho Taigun se achi gaadi haal main nahin hain ! but there are some cons jo aapne sahi bataya. VW CEO tho nahin but haan as a cusotmer feedback de sakte hain.
Tnks brov for the genuine practical requests as you are the voice that will be heard, however I would request you to add to you request for the “Very PRACTICAL FEATURES WHICH ARE CUT- ONE TOUCH WINDOWS , VW FLAGSHIP HORN”.
Hi I have purchased Tiagun petrol automatic on 20-12-2023 From day one irritating noise coming while applying breaks and while taking u turn No result after making a complaint to the dealer and VW . My suggestion is to please this issue before buying Regards Rajender kumar
Thank you so much Paaji, beautiful and yet again an emotional video straight from the heart. You have covered all the points that these cars need in 2024. I would move electronic brake and usb port near the irvm to must haves in top end variant.
Please suggest between kushaq and elevate. Which is best choice. Automatic transmission with safety, reliability, driving dynamics, long term service cost are points of concern. Thanks
My wishlist: 1. They should provide colour changeable ambient light and virtual cockpit. Infact virtual cockpit colours are changeable through coding so whats stopping vw to just enable it through software. 2. Hardware AC controls are available in T Cross (taigun) in foreign markets. So they can just lift the hardware from there at no extra cost. 3. They should raise the seat belt receiver unit. Its very hard to put on seat belt for heavy passengers. 4. They should try to develop an ecosystem for accessories. They should launch accessories store through their website where consumers can directly purchase the accessories. Indian love accessorising their cars. It will provide an additional marketplace for skoda/ vw too. 5. They should add a padding at the corner of rear seats just like they provide in Skoda Kamiq in europe. It would provide a little more confortable seating to rear passengers. 6. They should provide LED setup in fog lamps too. Yellow fogs although are better for sure but it just downgrades the front modern look of kushaq. They do provide white fogs in Kodiaq. 7. They can provide autonomous self parking in these cars. It would really differentiate them from the segment and add that wow factor too. Lastly, I just hope the retrofitting culture like polo starts in kushaq/ taigun too so that current owners have option to add latest features as per their wish.
Great video Paaji! Absolutely agree with all your points. Regarding 6 airbags, last year while purchasing car, we extended our budget for Topline model. Today a customer looking for sedan might consider Verna over VW twins as the former has 6 airbags from base variant and both the offerings are 5 star rated. (a general person might not have much knowledge about unstable bodyshell)
Proud to be connected to this channel since a long time. Most interesting and valuable information without any fancy B-Rolls, Music or drama. Simple to understand and as usual connected to us common man. ❤️
Very true “kuch chije zaroori nehi India hai toh India jaise he ho”. India market is demanding and competition is growing if VW wants to be in the market they have to give more good feature. In t-roc 2021 they removed lot of good feature which are now in almost all Indian Cars. I feel sad that those features were removed by saying this is not used in India market and are not required on Indian roads. But I am still happy with my t-roc because of its practicality some features are missing but still I am happy.
Sir the biggest problem is engine size though 1 litre is a powerful engine yet it's sounds underpower . 1.2 litre engine will change the game for taigun and kushaq.
The only reason I am not wiiling to buy any new SKODA/VW is the Indianisation, It left all the german interior build charm it has in KAROQ which is my daily driver. I agree with each and every point as it is not coping up with the competition, Please SKODA VW listen to him and I will get one for sure.
The Main Sales of Creta and seltos is with Base variants because of the ease of parts availability in the market , people buying base variants put about 100K and get a lot of features that they would have spent about 2 lakhs or more on a higher model whereas VAG cars are more technically complicated to add features . Also the After sales service of many Showrooms are still not up to the mark yet whereas with Hyundai their people are more supportive and customer friendly .
Jo market company ke liye serious nahi hote vaha jyada ummid nahi hoti. I feel this about VW/Skoda India. Unki USP hai- performance and dynamics and safety. Korians ki USP- features. Abb hume features jyada important hai than performance and safety then what will VAG do in it. They can't change their business for us. Vo de bhi denge features to ofcourse price badhegi.. which will kill sales anyhow. Aur features deke reliability/safety kam nahi karenge vo. So to conclude- ye aisehi chalega. Maruti, hyundai will be more in sales always. And VAG will be bought by targetted customer segment only.
Thanks for your video. VW should realise or see to your suggestions. Again I have a concern please do reply. I like VW cars very much but really I am doubtful about which vehicle should i go for. I am planning to book an SUV vehicle next month. I am confused between seltos and taigun. all over which one is good to buy. Your opinion matters. thanks.
they should have localised a car like Skoda karoq which looks muscular and a proper suv personally i think taigun looks like a jacked up hatchback. other factors like panaromic sunroof which people like should be given and indian people go with engine size ki bo kitne CC ka hai lay man does not get how the turbo performs against more displacement they should give the old 1.2 tsi or 1.5 mpi and also the epc error in beginning made people reluctant do go with the brand
europe"s problems are world"s problems but India"s or South Asia"s are not world"s problems, quote by Dr jai Shankar. so Mr. sunder deep Singh ji why are you suggesting to vw CEO i.s Mr Ashish Gupta, his attitude in most of the interviews is like what Dr. jai Shankar said but sorry to say that what you suggested is absolutely truth for Indians. If they i.s vw & Skoda follow your suggestions they will be on top of the world but alas .......
Great video! It's unlikely VW/Skoda would listen, though. I might be in a minority, but I like smaller cars because of ease of manoeuvrability and parking.
VAG needs to bring a facelift with all the must features mentioned in video, along with good advertisements and promotions. Otherwise it will be very difficult to survive in Indian market. If facelift is considered, the most important “must have” is width of vehicle should be around 1800 - Already Taigun/kushaq has a bad name of small width of 1760 (though it’s adequate)
Few of the wish list items should definitely be in must have! Thank you for this video paji. I follow you on twitter too. Thank you acknowledging us! 😊
Paaji leave alone additional features. VW 2.0 are marred with problems, just go to team bhp and read the taigun review thread. Cars delivered in dec 2023 and Jan 2024 are facing epc issues. Is this really a joke. The customers are still complaining of poor AC, hissing noise, rattles, squeaks breaks noise and what not. Is this too much to ask for ? I love VW for their driving dynamics and own Vento myself. But is a good AC that chills the cabin too much to ask for from VW?
Sunder jee I would like to say Taigun me koi problem nahi hai I sat I drove I just love that car The problem is only fit and finish that’s it If people are comparing this car with tiguan than it’s not VW problem 45 lac or 23 lac there is a huge difference.
One more change i would expect atleast on the virtus not on slavia it nags me alot. The rear stance of the car when u look it from the side view it doesn't feel very sedanish its way to much raised it almost feels like the front is dipping a lot and makes the rear area just below the quater pannel it feels to much of the chassis is exposed. It looks really ugly. And also due to this when u r driving up until the compact suv's and u see virtus on road from behind, her catalytic converter, exhaust tips, the oil tank and beam axle or cross member is visible . These things are also same in slavia but the stance doesn't seems that bad don't know why maybe alloys are far more beautiful in salvia. Don't know if i am the only one thinking like this.
Great video. On the size comment, I feel there are also a lot of people who buy the Taigun for its current size - small, compact and solid with good ground clearance. This without compromising driving dynamics. The biggest perception issue about VW is their after sales. It's a hit or miss. Either you are lucky or you are not.
Trust me they need not to upgrade anything, they just need to launch polo as a under 10L model, above 20 they should get kamiq which is way bigger and better than out of proportionate taigun and kushaq which they should make it below 20L, karoq should make a come back for 25L and above model along with T roc, they have so many cars abroad which can make a great case in India like fabia, scala I drive a karoq and super happy with what it offers. Can’t think of taigun and kushaq at current pricing.
Hi @Sunderdeep sir. After following your channel, I have purchased Skoda Kushaq on 17th Aug 2023, 1.5L Automatic Style variant and I am very happy with the performance of the car. I don't know about the recent updates of the car, but I would add another must have feature in this car and that is TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) which I think is a must have feature in this segment of car. Rest I really love your channel and because of you I was really determined to buy a Skoda Kushaq. Thanks Sir Vishesh Sinhal Location:- Siliguri State, West Bengal
I'm so proud of you paaji I've been watching your videos since last 3-3.5 years. Can't wait to meet you in person next time you visit pune I would love to host you
Taigun needs atleast minimum these updates 1. All wheels disk brakes 2. Adaptive Cruise control with some ADAS functions. 3. 360 camera 4. Active TPMS 5. Both working Dual barrel lights 6. More powerful AC in 1L variants. 7. Change the ugly looking current rear wiper
Vw and skoda need to come in the price bracket between Hyundai and Suzuki with its same quality, jiss ne Suzuki ka budget Kiya hai woh thoda kar aur kar k vw skoda lega aur jisne Hyundai ka rakha hai woh better value dekh k skoda vw lega aur ek baar sabhko latt lagg gai toh bas it's a matter of time that they will have more sales more station more customes.
I'm sorry, but I do not agree with the opinion about the fit and finish of the seats. Kushaq has one of the best seat comforts for long journeys. They are the perfect balance of cushion and stiffness. I'm comparing this with the MG Hector front passenger seat. I was feeling tired after just a 150km journey.
7:00 VW/Skoda needs a bigger engine. 1.0 TSI is good only for hatchback and sub-4m Nexon segment cars. Atleast a 1.2 TSI Turbo or 1.5 N.A is a need for this 4.3meter segment. Good to see even hardcore fanboy like Sunderdeep is accepting the shortcomings of 2.0 cars. All these days he was only defending the shortcomings and calling them a gimmick. Taigun/Kushaq needs to be bigger looking. Fix the cheap plastics, head rest, rattling issues. Underbody and bonnet insulation. Proper price correction instead of given hidden discount at dealership of 1L-1.5L Add the must have features front parking, 360, ADAS, 6 Airbag, fix touch based AC controls which sucks. Fix more dealerships and ASC, just combine VW and Skoda SC's in every Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
