After a lot of thinking, research, and price-charting, I decided on an upgraded hitting strip for my garage golf simulator: the EZ-Tee Hybrid hitting strip!
In this video, I unbox the strip I was purchased from yourswing.ca and take some initial test swings off of it.

Nice little setup you have there. Does the job for sure! Does the strip move around a lot after each hit? Have you done anything to stop it from moving around? Thanks!

Thank you! It doesn't move around all that much to be honest, I hem it in with the foam puzzle tiles but that's it. I might end up cutting it into my stance mat, but it's working pretty well as of now

Can you putt on this surface?

You can putt on it just like you can putt on a range mat. It isn't "putting turf" per se, but it should give a true enough to life roll to use it on GSPro. I don't intend to buy a special putting surface once I upgrade my LM to one that supports putting, I'll probably just putt off of this, if that helps answer the question. If you're looking for a dedicated putting surface, I'd probably look elsewhere. One of the first videos I did on my channel was a explainer on my DIY putting green I built at my house. I use Camry Trunk carpeting as the surface on that.

first one I bought was the ez tee. Very rough on the arms.

I've enjoyed mine. There are a TON of hitting mat options out there, I've really liked this one. What did you move on to, and do you like it better? Thanks for watching!

@@ChrisEckes trying out bullseye gold 3d strip. I think the long.fibers on the EZ were too grabby for me. I do have previous elbow injuries from years ago. I did however hit many balls last summer on the mats at our local course with zero issues
