The side button ribbon cable should be removable. I just cut the hot melt on each side and unplugged it. A little heat to bond the cuts back together and it's good as new.
Hello. I'm always impressed with your soldering skills. I would like to ask you a question, is that solder tip T12 1401? I'm having trouble deciding whether to buy 1401 or 1402. I would be happy if you could give me some advice for good soldering. thank you.
Hi, I just got my Starlight-12 Phantom and my scroll switch seems to click down very easily. Whenever I scroll up or down really fast, the minimal pressure i use clicks down the scroll wheel probably 50% of the time. Is it the switch that is faulty or is something else? I was wondering if I would need to replace the switch.
I was looking for encoders and my mouse has a 13mm encoder, one of the only I found was a TTC blue/cyan, is that one good? Is that one better than the TTC Black? Any answer would be appreciated!
I swapped out the switches and the encoder but for some reason the scroll wheel isn’t working I also tried to update the firmware but it’s just giving me error any reason?
I got a question for ya. My starlight 12 phantom has some defects after working just fine for last half a year. However it freezes frames or just doesn’t read them every .5 seconds. I have tried everything and would love to find out what is defective so that I can replace it. It works fine if I unplug it while I work and then plugging it back in makes it work for 2/3 hours fine and then it starts having issues again. Have you experienced this problem with any of your mice?
i think my left click is starting to go sometimes the left click doesn't register here and there and today i really noticed it, anyone else have this problem?
After swapping GM 8.0 into 2 mice 2 different times each I can say GM 2.0 is still the better pick when you tape the plunger to fine tune, it’s perfect on mice with less stability. Gm8.0 are sticky and way to snappy for me to like it except in a gpx sl which is Perfect mouse
yeah im very upset with my finalmouse phantom s12 as well got it for christmas from my brother in law and its been amazing but the damn scroll wheel randomly scrolls which makes it just about unusable for gaming or even browsing the internet. less than a year old shouldnt have took a shit so early for being a $200 mouse
Hi @UCRmLEiWxz1_sQ5MZ7zpdv4A, Thank you for this video series, I lost my mylar pad since I found my left button of starlight 12 was broken as your zeus in the video earlier in the month, and I open the mouse but I was careless and lost the left mylar pad. Do you know how to fix this? Is there anything can replace the mylar pad? Thank you very much!
Hey, glad its helping out. Sorry to hear you lost the pad. You can remove the sticky residue which the pad leave behind and it should work, it might feel a little crunchy/gritty. The other option is to replace the mylar with some more e.g. Black mylar - amzn.to/39zhwoX Alloy which I use - B07M7DBCF5 There are a few options you can use just ensure its thin as you can build it up.
Hey bearded bob check my channel I’m wondering if my mouse is fixable I tried to do it on my own and failed really badly anyway I could send this over and you fix the mouse switches?
