Hey, your new channel is GREAT!!! And just love how the bricks / gravel turned out around the trees. LOVE THAT. Just gorgeous. Can't wait to see everything in full bloom!!!
Tractor here 1958 its old & Paint on it is long gone. Bit super greatful hubby is a knowledgeable mechanic. That old tractor moved mobile homes here & buildings as well. With hubby attaching a truck blade to the hydrolics. And made steel forks, he's also a skilled & certified welder. The narrow front end wasn't stable enough or heavy enough to let the front narrow front end touch the ground. When he hooked the mobile home the metal hitch to the back of the old tractor. So he improvised & ran the big steel tongs he had made on the dump truck blade. He had made them to hook over the blade. He ran the tongs through a wooden pallet & cement blocks & 100 # tractor weights. Rachet straped them on. And the front end would touch the ground. As he hitched up the mobile homes. And he traveled about 3 miles down a major highway bringing the mobile homes here. One of them was a very old double wide. He has attached 1 1/2 double wide & another single wide togather. And we had a roof put on it. As we have slowly with a very tight budget stripped the inside & work everyday on it to live in eventually. He has 10 days to go until he is going to have a total hip replacement. The hip was in a horrible dirt bike wreak & has pins. After he played evil knivel & broke the neck of his hip. He couldn't walk for a year. And the bank took everything we had. It's taken alot of time to make a comeback. Started in 2010 from scratch in our middle 50's. Sometimes you loss everything to remember what is important & valuable. 45 years I have known I choose the best. That money & things would never be able to replace. If you have a min. On the 28th of this mth. Say a little prayer for Hubby. This will complete stop him for a few mths. But it all can wait. Just would love to see him in less pain.
@@jamiandzeb thank you Jami! The place is going to be gorgeous when you guys get done! You have came such along way in a very short time..if you ever just stop a min. & enjoy the fruits of you & Zebs very hard work.
Everything Looks Great From Louisville Kentucky, I admire you And Zeb, you are both very Talented, and Hard Workers, and Great Parents to your Children and Fur Babies, 🙏
Such a great video you two ! LOL!!! Jack and Dad time….hehehe.. he didn’t look to enthusiastic about the spreading of stone….😂 Buttercup was one HAPPY GIRL in the grass! Love the area around the Fig Tree ! Looking good 👍👍❤️❤️
For the fig tree I would use wood and build a tee pee for it and then cover that so its not just covered right on the branches. We had fig trees in south Texas but theres no winter there!
It's looking so amazing you two! I always say as hubby & I continue our little 10 acre spot. That didn't even have a entrance & it was quite a undertaking for 2 old ppl. using as many resources as we had to make something out of nothing. It's no where near what we have dreams of. But seriously you have to look around at more of what you have accomplished. And not focus on what's left to do. You guys have accomplished so much & so many things. Since I started watching you Jami alone in your driveway. Determined to keep going & have a home & business you owned. As Zeb joined in you to are unstoppable! The church itself was a monumentally task. You guys knocked it out of the park! ❤️
That bare part of that bed should become an herb garden. Just be careful to plant the ones like mint and dill in pots inside the bed. That way you can control their spread. That tractor is sure turning out to be a useful and wise investment. It all looks great.
It looks amazing, you guys!!💚🌱You deserve to be proud of all you've accomplished!! Buttercup has hit the lottery there..a full buffet!😂 yumm! Thanks for sharing all of it!
Love the way the bricks look around your tree. I’ve never had a vegetable garden, but I just planted a little pumpkin patch and I’m hoping the groundhog and deer don’t get the seeds or pumpkins. Also hoping your hard work brings you a big harvest.
Loved this thank you for sharing. I couldn't help but think of Pez candy when I saw the bricks and how you strategically stacked them in the tractor bucket 😂
You keep saying that y'all are busy and i can see why!!! Love the bricks around your tree!!!! Garden is looking great!!!! Buttercup sure was happy to be on grass...lol
Utah is a short season. It is beautiful though. My lettuce came back it's self. I let it flower. My neighbor couldn't understand but now they do. Try getting that kind...I'm not sure what it is but it exists. Also look into Electro-culture gardening! My tomatoes are on vine, I'm eating my lettuces, my strawberries. Those also come back better every year. My zucchinis plants are 3ft high and about 4ft across with about 8 zucchinis already. I put two in a 4x8 raised bed. I put my garden in April 1st this year. In the next two weeks we well picking from all of it. My peaches ripen in August. Again, not sure what my kind my peach trees are. Bought them at a yard sale and have been growing them from pits ever since. But everything is doing well...electro-culture gardening look it up. It will help your soil and fix even bushes not doing well. 😉🙃
@@jamiandzeb Just the fact you are doing seeds is cheaper.👍Try doing both seeds early, and plants that come back and as soon as they pop up... plant some small starters. That will give you food early and later. I do mostly small starters and then seeds I saved from the year before around them. But we only have two to feed..😉 💖 I'm enjoying the farm and Butter Cup is adorable!!
Be careful when pruning the fig tree next year. Keep your skin covered. My hubby learned the hard way that the sap from a fig tree and sunshine do not mix. Ended up in the hospital with some nasty burns.
Looks super duper. We are doing the same work over here in California. No cow though. You can dig a big hole and bury the burl. I don't like to do it but you can. My husband retired and bought a Kubota L47 with a back hoe and a box scraper ect..Zeb will know. Wish we would have bought it when we were younger!
you need a bag for the lawnmower and give the clipping to Buttercup. --Park your camper on the mountain property (if you can) and you will have a weekend home.
Put some straw at the base of the trees you planted, in the fall and it will help protect the roots in the cold weather. And covering the top with blankets or burlap for the winter will really help protect the trees.
I have heard of people putting chicken wire around small trees and stuffing it with straw to insulate, then wrapping with burlap. I hope your fig survives! About the bricks, the indentations will fill with water and when it freezes in the winter, they may crack and degrade. I like the look, though, cute! In your area, I don’t think you can grow tomatoes from seed outside. The garden looks amazing!
