Wat een prachtig filmpje, Ik ben er in januari 2010 geweest toen kon je er ook nog naar binnen...maar was er verschrikkelijk veel vernield... dat is niet te zien op jou film. mooi gemaakt
I was just going to say that I was happy that vandals and taggers haven't found the place until I saw the last frame. Beautiful place. Glad you got some shots of it.
It looks like the roof is in decent shape, no water damage and the windows are still intact so it would be a lot easier to restore than places that have water damage.
ssarryo No the French national & local gov'ts would take your money to spend on their purposes first. Why do you think people just walk away from these homes? This is the future for America and western Europe... The hard workers and movers & shakers will just cut their losses and go else where. Far worse is yet to come.
This chateau was completed in 1914. It was occupied during both World wars by the Germans. During the First World War the soldiers actually pulled up wooden flooring for firewood. After both wars it was restored. Interestingly enough it wasn't destroyed by vandals. Not sure when people moved out but I think it was probably empty for decades. Obviously there was basic upkeep done on the place and became property of the city in 1997 who maintains it to this day as a historic place.
The opening scene reminds me of the opening scene in the 1940 film "Rebecca" as Sir Lawrence Olivier and Joan Fontaine are driving towards the mythical "Manderlay". .
+Nicole Johnson Yes, I didn't notice the first time, but I took another look, and it definitely looks like a figure sat and slumped over on the stairs. Creepy!
Wow! Great opportunity and potential for a complete restoration. Could have seen more rooms. What's with the horror music - please change. Background Music was just to annoying!
Hey cool video .... We were there the day before yesterday ... but now it's no longer quite uninhabited because it is inside a large dog on the located in the upper floors. It will soon be renovated just like the second Château on the property. This has already been renovated. Greetings Jack Lost-Place.info
Looks great though seriously I would make sure this place is occupied quick or the new wave urbex smash groups and the pikeys may well start to pull it apart.
I'm wondering what the place looks like now? Has someone taken the place over for restoration or is it rotting away? Could you possibly give us an update on this beautiful place?
When you threw your cigarette butt on the road, ground it out and walked away it totally turned me off. If you don't respect the surrounding area enough to pickup your litter it leaves me unsure if you will respect the buildings you explore.
il pourrait etre racheter par un groupe de personnes amoureuse de ce chateau, seul c'est pas facil a plusieurs y a moyens pour les gens qui on un peu de coté,l'unité fait la force!!!
