James, you were talkin about how many views you get on videos about world war 2 and how they don’t get very many views. As a 19 year old guy with family that has been in every major conflict America has fought, any war you post about hits home, especially world war 2. I had family on 2 different theatres. Pacific and Europe. Had some uncles in the navy on subs as well. I’d love if you posted some things about world war 2
@@hazymist_872 I can’t trace my roots that far back thru American history(my dad’s grandparents immigrated here from 1920s Germany and Italy) but since we’ve been here we have fought in almost every major war excepting only war on terror
@@CourtHouseP do you feel like you fought for a good cause seeing what America and Americans are today? America been invading others lands when we shouldn’t be protecting others borders when we won’t protect America borders or Americans.
@@JamesonsTravels It's an entirely different culture over there. A lot of our young guys think it's cool to act like dirtbags, but amongst junior marines in my experience it is pretty easy to get them motivated, and morale is solid.
@@JamesonsTravels Can you blame them with treasonous leaders who promise to warn our enemies if Trump uses nukes? the same leaders who are more concerned about "white rage" than they are with BLM/ANTIFA rioters attacking DC, Seattle, Portland, The White House, etc
Turns out the woman who accused him admitted she lied to the police. Army just couldn’t hold off and wait until the story got straight. Interesting little insight to the ‘thought” process of our military leadership. Especially since we as a nation are staring in the face of a potential major conflict of multiple nations.
"Or you can draw strength, from those besides you", that strikes deep into the heart of patriotic Americans. There is a strength within us all, a soldier. But when those strengths are combined en masse, and united, that strength becomes a formidable army...
@@Homosexual_Harley Ain't going to happen. We've had too much prosperity for too long. We've had multiple generations now where this idea that we all are special unique little snowflakes has been embedded, and, like Bob from the Nissan commercial, we all should have our own toll booth. People no longer understand sacrifices for the greater good. And this will lead to out demise.
20 years old, just over a year as an Army 11B. The recruitment ads certainly resonate with me and are a HUGE improvement to the previous ads. A step in the right direction and hopefully a trend the Army continues to follow.
My dad served 22 years in the Army, he died sept 19th 2019 due to all the chemical contact during his service, was paid a check of 40,000 from govt for agent orange exposure during his deployment in South Korea. He was diagnosed with cancer and died from a heart attack. He went to desert storm, and fought for his country.
Why would you guys serve the most violent country in history which only had what a decade In its history were it wasn't in a war. War is a racket. Also why force the world to be anti white Jesus guy's and making kids chop of their willy when there 10 smh 🤦♂️
We just laid my father in love in the grave this past December. He had the diabetes from agent orange and just worked as hard as he could until his body gave out. He was former Army. He was disgusted by how bad the Army had become.
Love this!! Im a Marine daughter and every women in our family has been a military wife back to revolution war. One of my daughters will marry her soldier in July! These adds mean a lot to me! So sad they took them down!
agree. i remember. light green, dark green. as the DIs kick the sh1t out of us. Saw guys make friends from the oddest places. Guys that would never would otherwise.
I’m 23 and the thought of WW2 hurts deep. My great grandfather was a lucky one, he lived through D DAY. Initial landing. My dad has his old medals German cash some other German possessions. WW2 really made me want to join the military.
I’m 14 and this ad really resonates with me. My family has been in almost every war America has fought like the revolution, 1812, civil war (both Union and Confederate), Indian wars, WW1 and 2, Vietnam, etc. It makes me feel like my whole family has fought up until this point, and now it’s my turn.
Honestly, as someone who loves history, this definitely resonates with me. They hit on all aspects of our military's rich history while simultaneously showcasing what you can be if you enlist. Definitely a gem of an ad that could've brought alot of enlistees.
It's simple. Subcultures should be reminded they're subcultures. All of the body positivity, alphabet soup, stunning and brave posturing in the world is not what will turn things around in a crisis. It is the everyday, hardworking, salt of the Earth men who come through when the chips are down.
This ad promotes overcoming obstacles & winning. That sounds completely opposite of today’s society where people complain about how someone else has to solve all their problems because they’re victims of everything.
Exactly why would you wanna join up to protect such sensitive and privileged people. Back then you were fighting for nation that loves you now you’re supposed to fight for a nation that will turn on you if you say the wrong pronouns.
My youngest son knew more about WW2 than his history teacher. His teacher just skimmed over it without including any political context or battle knowledge. That lack of competency on his teacher's part caused my son to subscribe to a history class online.
Imagine the bravery of The Minute Men. They rose to defend the new nation of the USA against the weight of the King of England and the Empire he had ... Oh my Lord, that was simply amazing and I'm a Canadian who can feel that.
The Army is what you make it. Crush PT and volunteer for schools and you can have an amazing career regardless of what policies politicians are forcing on us. Also go Special Operations if you're interested. Selection isn't that bad.
Hell yeah this resonates with us young guys. The young ones who it doesn't resonate with ain't guys. This is America's iconic history. 🇺🇸 Your Tongan friend from Utah ✊🏾💯
They need to get rid of Gen. Milley and Secretary Austin if the Army is to redeem itself. Then, reevaluate the top leadership and decide who needs to be demoted, fired, and even charged under UCMJ. It won't happen though, not as long as we have a senile potato brain in the White house.
Milley is pretty awsome do you actually know anything of the man? Most Generals are not hyper right wing because it would compromise their ability to lead. Much of the army is made up of people who are gamers, gays, furries for some reason and dnd nerds. Once they are on the job they will do the job but you need to be able to lead without alienating them or you end up with a force no better then the Russians. Milley helped take Iwo Jima and was also in Korea and Iraq the guy has done more to serve the US then most show a little respect.
The older "Be all you can be!" ads have gotten a lot of views on RU-vid, as of late... Most people probably don't even know where "Be all you can be!" even came from, at first.
The ad is an improvement. Its going to take some time and more than ads for young American men to want to join the military. They could try to do Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan ads but we all know how that went.
The best recruiting ad campaign the DOD could ever put out would be holding senior leadership accountable. Let the 18 year old and their family know that some General or Admiral isn't going to throw lives away so they can get a medal.
This ad couldn't have possibly been worse than the woke Emma ad, but it is still a joke compared to the Chinese and Russian army ads. At least their ads portray their army as being masculine men, patriotic for their country. The entire US military has gone woke, and is now weaker than ever.
100%. This add is basically just deceit and dammage control. It is not reality. Everything is either about women or poc, DEI... it just go's to show the real enemies are within our borders and they need to be handled before anything else, otherwise you are pretty much defending those enemies by becoming a part of the woke militairy. People forget very quickly these days.
As a high schooler that just got into the DEP, these ads are pretty damn good. Makes me wanna stay consistent, 120 push ups every day get ready for BCT and crush it
Talk to real vets that have gotten out in the past 5 years. It's not the same military it was in 2003-2012. Those old videos of dudes in combat engagements in Fallujah are a world away now.
Just as many people would say the same thing about Trump or any republican president. No one ever went to war for a president they went to war because the country needed them to. We have to have faith our leader's military and civilian have our backs. Once you enlist or commission your job is to prepare yourself and others around to be as ready as possible. Remember the old saying, more sweat on the training field equals less blood on the battlefield.
USMC 1966-1969 Overall a good recruitment vid. Would like to see emphasis on the sacrifices made by past military and their patriotism that gives us our freedoms. Include vid clips of say, 54th Massachusetts, the 442nd, Red Tails, Code Talkers
WWII is close to my heart, my country was deeply devastated because of it. Thank you men and women! Edit: I’m Gen Z yes, but this is really motivating.
This young guy whos a history buff is loving this ad. Lots of recruits gonna be got from this one. And its a good thing too bc we heading to a place weve never been before. Gonna need as many guns pointed at the enemy as possible.
I’m 29. I’m a huge history nerd with a secondary degree in history with military history from Antiquity to today being my favorite genre. This is a good ad; however there’s a lot of reasons why younger guys don’t want to go into the military. Firstly, we have no legendary conflicts going on right now. Fighting insurgent groups in the 3rd World has become monotonous. Secondly, from the Revolution to Vietnam, wars were fought by average guys with average bodies. Heroes like Audie Murphy and Desmond Does were underdogs who became legends. Nowadays, most young guys look at the military as a bureaucratic entity where you either get a low-paying boring job or to be a trigger-puller you have to be a bloodthirsty douche with the body of Adonis. That’s the stereotypes the military promotes and most young people are turned off by it. Lastly, a lot of young people don’t want to go the military because it’s a dead end. They don’t want to be shipped off to some 3rd World hole-in-the-war for years on end and do a repetitive task for little money. They want to make good money, live where they want, and travel where they want. The military just isn’t competitive to other choices young people can make and its ads make it even more unappealing.
It may not put the fire under me that makes me want to join the army, but it put it in the back of my head saying that’s always a possibility to join the army. This is a phenomenal ad
This resinates with us because, as Marines, we are engrained in the history and traditional values of our country ! This younger generation have taught that they are special, and everything should be handed to them.
