Here I have an early production M1892 Krag with factory replaced grips & rivets. In this video I discuss the Krag and some of the variations you might encounter. All information in this video was taken from Donald Hartman's book 'The U.S. Krag Bayonets'.

Wanted to say thanks for sharing, my great Grandfather fight in WW1and used a Krag for his service rifle. My brother has his and I purched a 98.. since then started collecting the bayonets as well. I have a 03 with to believe the #4 sheth as well? Not sure still learning. And a 98 with the buckeled sheth. And not sure which one of the two. Have to get the book to examine it more definitively. There conversation pieces for sure. Thanks again👍

Thanks for the video. Do you have any recommendations on how to clean these bayonets. I have one produced in 1900 and want to clean it up without ruining its patina

Hey friend collector.. if I may suggest... just gun oil and cloth is about your best I'd say. Nothing ABRASIVE as you kinda already know. Dont want to strip History 😉
