There is a utility strap used on wire WD-1 reels, field telephones, and the later 2qt canteen. It was in three lengths. When not on the belt or wearing a pack the utility strap hooked the same as the suspenders straps. It could be work on the side attached to the belt or a carry bag.
Hey its pretty neat seeing another younger Vietnam reenactor, I'm only starting and my kit isnt 100% accurate but i mainly use it for airsoft but when i find a reenactment group in the good ol' state of new york (we barely have civil war reenactments up here) but yeah, im mainly doing an army impression from 1968-1970.
You might consider doing separate audio to the video if you aren't actually manipulating anything with your hands. Also, writing out a script to use would help you stay focused and tighten up the video. Lastly. If you cough or sputter in a take, consider editing that out or doing another take. Your collection is neat and information good. It would be a pity for people to miss it as a result of a little mistep in video creation.
Yeah true but when I do cough or mess up I try ta make fun with it, but editing it out would probably be better. I might start doing scripts and notes those would definitely help
