The M9 bayonet design borrowed very heavily from the Soviet AKM bayonet, especially with the serrated back and the wire cutting option with the scabbard. As they say, imitation is the highest form of flattery.
I like my M9 very much. The sheath is glass fiber reinforced plastic and it the edge of the blade contacts the inside of the sheath it will dull the edge, so I make sure the back edge contacts the inside of the sheath when I take the knife out or put it in the sheath. I’m going to see how your M9 did on your boar hunt.
Thank you for the info! The knife definitely did great on the boar hunt, and I just posted another boar hunt video about a week ago. I used the same knife, and it worked out just as well!
We found this knife and it was in horrible shape. Someone threw it in a burn pile years ago but the case was in good shape. We were trying to figure out what the bottom part of the case was for. Thanks
