An “assassination” attempt on Donald Trump has raised questions about the security lapses at the ex-US President’s campaign rally in Pennsylvania. The sniper reportedly climbed onto the roof of a building near where Trump was speaking at an and fired multiple shots before being killed. The assassination attempt is being called a result of a grave lapse, perhaps the biggest since President Ronald Reagan was shot at in 1981. Questions are being raised over how a gunman managed to open fire at a former president at a rally protected by federal and local law enforcement. An eyewitness told the BBC that Trump’s security was warned about a gunman on a roof “three or four minutes” before shots were fired at Trump.
