Bio -
Phil Daru is the Head trainer for some of the top athletes in the world and creator of Daru Strong Training Systems and founder of Daru Strong Performance Center. Daru has degrees in sports medicine and exercise science from Alabama State University where he played division 1 football. Holding certifications with Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) Functional Range Movement Specialist (FRCms) and Kabuki Movement Specialist (NSCA-KMS).
Daru then began a career in MMA and turned professional at 21 years old where he then developed his own systems for training fighters. Daru has also competed in strongman, bodybuilding, and Bjj Gi and No Gi and currently competes in powerlifting. He has worked with well over 200 plus fighters including world champions like Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Dustin Poirier, Edson Barboza, Junior Dos Santos, Frankie Edgar, Tecia Torres, King Mo Lawal, Andrei Arlovski and many others. Coach Daru is a two time award winning Trainer of the Year for the Florida MMA Awards and Nominated for the Trainer of the Year for the World MMA Awards. He has been globally recognized for his contributions in combat sports performance and has traveled to over 10 countries teaching and mentoring. body weight on light days, weighted body weight on heavy. only real weights i use are for squats- aint nothing that can replicate 315 on your back

I got weak legs since I got injured so I can't keep up after 3-4 round on the ring. But after trying your training exercises. Man! I feel better.. I could do better. Keep it up sir! God bless you

Lactic acid is produced naturally by the body and is used by it when u start breathing with short breaths u start anaerobic breathing and the lactic acid production.is more that the amount used.If u breathe aerobically the lactic acid is used by the body

Coach I have a lifetime routine from coach Martin Rooney… Could you please comment it? If you want to add or subtract exercise? I changed it a little bit, did you like the program? This is not my main routine but always test for me because I want to better than avarage people or gym rat… Because of that, set and reps number very important to me…

Sometimes when I fight I fight people always 10 years or 5 years less then me because there bullies taking shit or anything. But when they lay a hand on me it go time for me. I mean I get along with everyone I'm talking about people who are hateful and not playing around and want to go at it then I'm ready people jump in or team up but being strong enough to beat one or two has always been me.

I'm glad I'm testing myself to get better in every way before next year. I hate bullies in the world so self defense is important to me. 🥊🥋🤼‍♂️👍. Plus I was been dam good in protecting my self feeling natural in a fight in my movements in protecting myself. 12hr day of work and still jogging a mountain was my goal I'm lucky to do it. Yesterday had a great dinner with the wifey and 🍔🍟😋 my cheat day wow. Picking up a few moves and always getting better is great. Daru yr the man sir thanks.

Man adding some of things are great for me two days off from lifting feels great and volunteer my time to move around out there is great. And lifting in the morning plus practicing wrestling moves and takedowns. Not bad for a old man like me yea I'm like 50 years old. Punching power lifting being quick and smart takedowns better then I was is a must I was dam good back then but I feel like I'm 30 years old taking or 20 years old to the ground and defending myself against bullies is always good. I walk in jobs man there's always bullies but I dont care or in other places have to be ready for as possible for work and if anyone trys to hurt u in work. Dam bullies 😂

A round is composed by 30sec of work followed by 2mins of pass recovery and 2mins of shadow boxing. But how many rounds are for the entire workout? 4 or 8? Thanks Phil for your videos. Greetings from Italy. Daje!

John Leka I do 30 sec on 2 min rest (1 min passive 1 min active) for 6 rounds but you can do a 3 week wave and go from 6,7,8 rounds increased each week

I see no benefit in these exercises in regards to boxing amateur or pro. False title. All boxers jump rope 3 rounds straight minimum to 30 minutes just warm up. 3-4 rounds shadow box. 3-4 sounds footwork/ ring work, 3- 4 rounds heavy bag, 3-4 rounds up and down/ crazy ball, 3-4 rounds speed bag, 100 push ups min, 100 sit ups min, 100 squats n lunges min, neck snaps or neck bridges or both. Rotate and Stretch 10-15 minutes before and after workouts.... Train in regards to boxing not peter pan auditions. In between or after all this do sparring 2-6 rounds or mitt training with an experienced coach.
