Here's a great drill that I use to improve my kicking accuracy, control, and balance. Working on your kick mobility will allow you to strike openings from unique angles, instead of just a big "baseball bat" swinging motion. Here are a couple of key points to keep in mind when training this drill:
1. Chamber your knee before and after each kick
2. "Stick" the kick, flexing it out there for a split second, before retracting.
3. Try to keep your upper body upright, to increase balance and hip flexibility.
4. Start off low, if your flexibility doesn't allow for high kicks; work your way up gradually.
