@@foolslayer9416 So do I. I have endless imaginations for creative writing. Speaking of which, I'm a published writer and artist by trade. My Autism has given me the gift of using my imagination to create magnificent stories and unforgettable characters.
Mark Perez I agree I like this movie because of how the lost boys and tinker bell were making Peter Pan get his sense of imagination back and this would have to be one of my favorite movies Robin Williams did along with Jumanji , Aladdin , mrs doubtfire, night at the museum , patch Adams and flubber
This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I would watch it over and over. Since this movie I always wanted to fly if I had one wish it would be to fly to this day.
I just noticed that before the pots and pans are opened there is steam coming off them, showing how Peter can believe before the larger reveal. Just an extraordinary detail.
I have some very wholesome funfacts for you then. The scene at the end of the film where Robin Williams nominates the new pan and gives them his sword was wholly improvised. NONE of the boys knew who it was supposed to be, so all of the reactions were genuine. Robin Williams in generally was a good person on set and was all around fun for everyone. The scene where one of the boys says "You're back Peter, Pan the Man!", Robin Williams is actually mouthing the words so that the child can remember the line. He also had some friendly banter with the actor for Captain Hook and the two would make witty remarks about each other on set all the time. After Williams passed away, Steven Spielberg, who ORIGINALLY made this film as a passion project due to his own role as a father but had become overencumbered by the workload and felt it inadequate, went back to rewatch the film and has reassessed it as better than he remembered.. Though he could not make it through its full run time as Robin William's and him were close friends and the film obviously featured the best of Robin's personality.
@@Impalingthorn Did you work on this film? If so thank you for being a part of one my favorite childhood memories. I still remember the night I saw this in the theaters and fell in love with it.
@@piercestewart2045 Yes. I used to have nightmares about being locked in a too small space and not being able to move from that. But I got over it before I really learned about the significance/added terror factor of the scorpians. But before the chest it was hilarious ecpically considering (fun fact everyone probably already knows) that the guy who bet against Hook / the guy who got "booed" was actually played by a girl, namely Meryl Streep.
Oh believe me, it has received tons of recognition, It won awards. The soundtrack of this movie was composed by none other than the great John Williams himself.
I never realised, but I like how when the pans with food are delivered you can see him eagerly smelling what's inside and the steam coming out because he's imagining it
One of my favorite scenes in the movie. The fact that you had to use your imagination to make the food appear and be able to actually eat it was very creative!
When the Mandalorian became a huge success! Jon Favreau: “What’s happening?” Star Wars fans: “You’re doing it.” Jon: “Doing what?” Fans: “You’re playing with us, Jon!” 😁
Haha as a kid I would purposely get a milk moustache and say “bangerang” and now as an adult I utter the same phrase when foam gets on my real moustache drinking beer.
i remember watching this as a kid. the times i did watch it, this scene always made me so hungry, that id heat up food or have a bunch of snacks just so i could eat while they were eating lol
Bangarang! In Hook during the feast scene, when Peter finally sees the food, there's me with the uncontrollable sobbing . . . not sure why. Yeah, I love that movie too.
I had to watch this scene today after not watching this movie for almost 20 years, just to see if i was remembering this right. Yep, it is exactly how i remember haha
This movie affected me deeply when I was little. I had to stop watching it over and over, felt like I was connected to it in a strange way but it was too sad and scary and real. Last time i seen it I was the same age as the kids in the film. Its funny now im my 30s🐧
2:30 -- that bit always makes me cry. I love it! Ever watched adults in an improv or art class re-learn the imagination they all had as kids? It's beautiful.
What a great movie, packed with great messages.. Robin Williams Julia roberts Dustin Hofmann Maggie smith bob hoskins John Williams Steven Spielberg James hart what a time to be a kid I miss it so much. Never forget the child inside you, bangarang!!
this is my favourite part of the whole movie and has a powerful message that... imaginal acts create facts and we humans need to awaken to our true power that we have forgotton as adults, the power of imagination where nothing is impossible
Next to the Boo Box scene, the food fight scene was always my favorite… probably because of how Peter warms up to the food game by showing Rufio up and Tinkerbell trying not to get covered in the Neverland mixed berry cream pie
When movies still used real sets with real props instead of all this green screen CG garbage. It looks real because it is real, and this is one of the best most fun scenes I've ever seen in any movie ever. So great how it goes from invisible to peter to a sprawling rainbow cornucopia feast.
I remember this movie, it was one of my favorites!!! I still love, after all these years!! I remember watching the first movie of Harry Potter and when Dumbledore made food appear on the table I was like "Meh, been there, seen that, Peter was better at it!!"
I’m so lucky to have been a child when this movie came out. I didn’t understand a lot of the adult stuff like I do now, but damn if this was not the best movie.
“Where’s the food? I want to eat! Gandhi ate more than this” ah how I feel coming Home every night after closing and not eating the entire shift bc the kitchen’s under severely staffed. I should probably also just learn to eat like that though.
such amazing movie. miss Robin. I hear his voice and don't believe he's gone he's with us forever thru film. if you're depressed, please see a doctor and get the right medicine. the genius Robin was will only be seen on the silver screen from now on because he was not medded correctly
I remembered this scene today when I thought about how Jesus said you have to become like a little child to enter the kingdom of heaven, and a lot of what is amazing about being a Christian is totally invisible and imperceptible to those who don't have faith. But this is what the kingdom of God is like, this is what believing in Jesus is like: it's a huge feast other people can't see until they come to the table and start to believe.
