I almost got roped into Primerica. The only reason I stayed away was because I didn’t want to be payed based on commission. The guy got angry at me and told me he was doing me a favor by interviewing me because of my friend (he almost got roped in too). I’m like, I’d rather have a consistent paycheck every week and I can already tell you my family and friends are not gonna want to sell insurance. A few months later the building they were at closed down. 😂

I did an in person interview group type thing for primerica years ago. I didn't even make it to the first interview. They first put the whole group in a room for a guy to talk to us about what they do, and show a video. Soon as I realized what it was, I got up and walked out lol They tried stopping me at the door like a cult would if a member tried to leave. Told them I had no interest to work for a pyramid scheme. I'm so glad he's getting the place that got me. I didn't think an insurance company could be a pyramid scheme, until they kept making me go to long @ss meetings without pay, and then it really clicked when they straight up asked for my phone so they could write down all my contacts. I left pretty quick, but they called me and harassed me for a year afterwards, trying to get me to come back. I guess the lady that signed me up was pretty desperate for underlings.

@cocobutter3175 11 месяцев назад
@@not-fedrayepps5203 You pay $100 to join after someone spends hours, even days, having "meetings" with you, and brainwashing you into thinking the company is a great opportunity for you to become an insurance salesperson. You try to ask any questions on the work you'll actually be doing and how it works, they won't answer. They just vaguely tell you how life-changing it is, and how you'll get money from any people you hire in under you. Then they'll either have you call all your friends and try to get them to join, or, like my lady, just take your phone and call themselves. I think my lady was super desperate. She actually paid the $100 for me out of her pocket, and then called everyone in my phone herself. It doesn't really make sense, because they tell you that as soon as you get someone else, you get your money back...ooohhh...I guess because they'll get multiple people out of you, so if you get 3 friends, they make $200. It's so weird. Then they tell you that you can take these tests to get certified to sell insurance, but you have to pay all this money, and they basically help you cheat on the test and don't teach you a single thing. But when I inquired about how soon I could take the tests, they really wanted to focus on me hiring in more people. I think some of the extra money from people you get to join goes to the person right above you, after they pay back the $100--but I don't even know if they actually give that back, like I said, I didn't pay it, the lady who signed me did.
@junecontreras6896
@junecontreras6896 11 месяцев назад
Mostly you’re the one paying money 😂😂 then you have to sucker others to Join and pay money too, you’ll get a percentage on how many people you can get to join, and so on…. They started hounding me that day that I wasn't bring in enough recruits, and I told them I wasn't comfortable with my friends and family being in this type of business. This brings me back😂 about a decade ago, I dated a girl that I met at a beauty pageant of sorts. She as there with an older man, who I later learnt was her boss(Primerica). Dude was extremely possessive of her, to the point where he tried to convince her to not give me her number at the time. He then got upset when I would pick her up at work, and would throw a fit when he would see me. When I learnt about the “company”, I told her what it was, because she didn’t really understand the concept of pyramid schemes. She made a lot of money, no doubt because her boss liked her and was throwing money at her, she was making about $8,000 a month translating for the Spanish speaking victims, I mean clients. She ended up quitting and not long after that we split up, but I still remember the name and logo they had on the door when I drive by the office building.

I was drug into the cult by my ex and her friend. I aced the license exam. I questioned my one-ups and some presenters at conferences why we were lying to customers by giving them false expectations of returns when the actual numbers didn’t support any of our marketing (‘cause I can use Excel, derp). Refused to pitch to anyone until they answered my questions. Didn’t last long after that ;)

Ugh! I almost got suckered into Primerica until they told me unprompted that it's NOT a pyramid scheme. I kept asking them very specific questions about how it differs from the pyramid scheme, and they kept evading. My mama didn't raise no fool.

someone should coin an adage that states: "if you say unprompted that it's not a pyramid scheme, then it's a pyramid scheme!"

20+ years ago I went to a Primerica group interview. I remember the guy going on and on about all the money we were gonna make, but giving no details on what we would actually be doing. I'd ask questions but the answers were vague as hell. Something didn't seem right and I just left after a while. Found out later that it was just a scam. Kinda surprised that it's still going lol

I thought the company was legit so I joined one of their interview meetings. They weren’t interviewing or screening candidates, they were trying to convince all of us that they were legit! What kind of company has to do that? Absolutely no experience or intelligence required to sell expensive insurance to your loved ones because . .“financial planning”. It’s an absolute joke and I was young enough to miss the signs from their job postings. I went home and told my wife that my time was wasted and I shouldn’t have prepped for that “interview”. All’s well that ends well! Satisfying though to see them get trolled.
