I had no idea USF4 was still being played competitively at local tournaments ...but this is Christmas come early for me.. Honestly one of the greatest fighting games of all time!
@35:00 commentator is misinformed, Abel's ex command grab is not going to beat any grab ultra because it's not grab invincible. Also earlier in the video he said that Abel's command grab is so fast it will beat ultra grabs, it's actually slow but the reason his normal command grab beats them is because it's throw invincible, not because of its speed
That was some great matches. As a ryu main, waxsolid had me hyped af I honestly haven’t seen some of the tech he displayed and he tried to style on smug on the first game. I think he took that personal 😂
nah he didn’t rely on it, I believe SolidTips was looking for baits with how often he was FADC’ing back. good on Smug to not overcommit on them though. if SolidTips had one weak habit it was neutral jumping a lot vs Hakan. even then, really solid fundamentals by both players
Or should give new patch where you can select music any stage music you please for training stage. And if online, only you can hear your music you choose on your end so that both parties are good.
Abel doesn’t have the fastest command grab. Abel’s command grab is 5 frames. It “stuffs” Zangief SPD (2 frames) because Abel’s grab is grab invulnerable.
i would re-learn this game again & compete only in sf4 if it was to comeback as a main game that would be insane i would definetly want some revenge on solid for leaving our lil group in a ryu vs akuma match up for sure

This guy commentator keeps talking about what he can do or what he would like to do when that's not what I'd going on right now in the match. Provide commentary on what is happening in the match
the game may have a system where it says in the code "50% chance for the move to work" or "25% chance the move will not work", something like diablo 3 and critical , where you have 100% crit chance on the gear and on the character stats you only get 72% chance crit.
Wax didn’t use any down mid punches in between his hados that’s what had happened. DPs become water, and those focuses with no dash forward into DP after the half hit.. come on.
If you listen, he's speaking a lot because it's quite clear she either knows nothing about the game or very little. He had to fill in for all of those gaps of her saying things like ''Nice six hit" or just agrees with what he says and then becomes quiet. 5 seconds is an eternity when commentating.
