I caught a Catfish on cut bait. I put it on a hook and the Catfish ate it. All I had to do then was reel the Catfish in. I even made a video about it. People will probably watch it.
Being disabled I can't quite get down to the bank as often as I used to. Watching your videos is just enough to scratch that itch if you know what I'm saying. Keep havin fun Dave
Michael Pease let me tell you, I’m also disabled and it hurts not to go fishing a lot, I got two awesome friends that take theirs time and take me fishing with them, thank God for anybody helping disabled guys like you and me.
Well, to you fellas that are disabled, I personally am 70 years old and don't have the stamina that I once did..coupled with a knee that has no cartilage left . At this point I'm still somewhat able to go fishing and have more fishing equipment than you can ever imagine. My problem is that I have 2 sons that are able to go but pretty much too busy to do so. So all that being said, I absolutely love to watch old Catfish Dave's videos myself. I've said enough. Gonna catch another video. Have a good day guys.

I havent caught a catfish of any kind in 2 years. And Ive been several times, all kinds of bait, night, day, anytime .. Watching Dave fish is as satisfying as catching my own, as long as he makes videos, Im happy with that... Andrew.
These are some huge fish!!!! My biggest cat was the size that one of this could eat as a snack. It was about 3 pounds but I loved the fight on light line and pole. Will definently show you to my grandparents, they would love your videos.
Thanks for posting! Old river rat here who has been laid up for months, and your vids help brighten the days. Not much longer to being able to get back out on the bank and whack some cats. Maybe a few big ole flats.

Tuesday morning, I went to a small river by my house to catch gasper goo. I was using an ultralight with 6lb line, throwing a white curly tail beatle spin with a number 4 hook. The first fish I caught was a flathead. I weighed it on a cheap spring loaded scale at 9.5lbs. Keep your hook wet.
Aaahhh yah! Getting cooler and glad to see it. I couldn’t stand your videos of late with the bugs swarming around your camera light, in your eyes and mouth. Heck you had me sweating and swatting at bugs in my recliner! Ha ha yah shore is feeling cooler, oh yah and those cats was some goodun’s!

Another great video Dave, totally get you not wanting to disclose the spot. And the skipjack fishing spot also, I live in Nashville and have starting catching them around 14”, most I’ve been catching are in the 6-10” range. I’m using a Sabiki rig but this is my first year chasing Skipjack. Not asking for your spot but any helpful tips on catching them would be greatly appreciated. Lived in Nashville 2 years now and been cat fishing all my life, 55 years old. We don’t have skipjack back in NC where I’m from, close to Dieter Melhorn. Keep sweet talking the cougar🤣

Hey, Catfish Dave I've got a couple of Catfish questions for you. (1)- What would you say is the most productive bait for your style of fishing? Frozen or Fresh Cut and why?(2)-Under what conditions would one of those two options be different from each other? (3)- Do you prefer moving water in spring and summer and still water in the fall and winter? And which is the most productive? Why?
The only time I would use fresh Gizzard Shad over fresh Skipjack is during shad kills in the coldest winters. I stay away from frozen if possible. Slackvwater or current is a loaded question. Fish are everywhere. Good fish are everywhere. Any time of year. Biggest time to be in current and deep water is summer. Spring, fall, winter anything goes.

Catfish day only your true fans will click on the all of your videos regardless of the title and I am a true fan and I'm only 2 minutes and 25 seconds into your video after you just threw your three-way rig with a smaller bait because you didn't want the current take it to the left and you ran out of titles so that's why you titled it this way but it doesn't matter mr. I as well thought that was a striper because of the way your pole quickly pulled right back without much give.... so I was fooled as well. Cougars and Catfish in the Fall may be a hard pull on you Dave...LOL.

What's up Dave, yet again another awesome video. Maybe if at all possible you might answer a specific question. How do you feel about using Mullet for cutbait.? They are an oily fish and also have a layer of black fat that lines the inside of their carcass. Just wondering. Thanks Dave and please keep up the good work you do for all of us.
