Correction: You are supposed to take the limit from the right, not just the limit. Dapz Academy playlist: • Dapz Academy calculus limits Using math to find out when your dad is coming home
@@Daniboi54 uh, i don't want to argue with you but u have to know that one couldn't represent everyone, what they mean by "asian" is actually based on a pretty true stereotype
The truth is, your dad never even made it to the grocery store. Applying the same equation, but now with y as the time left to get to the grocery store, we can see that as x gets larger, our y approaches 0. Assuming that the store can be any distance x from home, we can try to estimate the time it will take to arrive by finding integral of 3/x from 0 to infinity. With a bit of calculus, we can find out that the integral will diverge to infinity, and therefore, the time your dad takes to get to the store diverges to infinity.
bro… i had to reread that title and the thumbnail. :’) honestly, khan academy videos created that studying atmosphere for me back when learning went virtual. _(it’s 10pm, and i begin the video with some snacks and a warm lamp sitting at my drafting table.)_ those were hard times, but gave some really relaxing studying sessions :) one of the few - but cherished - pros of distance learning. thanks for making this lmao
I showed this video to a friend of mine who’s good at math, and he immediately pointed out the flaw with having y as time, only to be immediately shut down because Danz is in fact, Asian.
after doing a full course of khan academy math, this is absolutely perfect in every way, the microphone, the tone of voice, the expression of speech, this is amazing
I heard my friends talking about this at school. I didn't know it was dapz. I am so happy that the vid has got 0ver 9milion. I subbed when he had like 100 subs. Hopefully he gets better and better
Explained what hours of lecture and therapy couldn't. You honestly made this explanation very clear and simple, unlike my professor and school psychologist. Thank you!
Every single detail is on point, the acting, the microphone, the resolution, the thumbnail, everything. I cannot image how much time he spent making this so accurate, huge props
Thank you for this helpful informative video. I'm a college currently trying to make it through exams and words can't express how much this has helped me!
Wow, I feel really bad for all those people who lost their father when he went for milk. Mine personally went for cigarettes so I guess the question I have in relation to the above math is if my case is similar and if it is what does that mean for the infinity, I have heard some infinities are larger than others and I am starting to get really worried as I approach 30 if my dad might have passed by the grocery store that had milk and instead gone to a further location, does anyone know if this is a certainty? Math is amazing and I love how after all these years I am starting to realize I can answer this question that haunted my younger self.
Yeah, I think it's also infinity since the cigarette store is so far away from home that by the time your dad gets close to your house, the cigars are already expired and therefore he goes back to buy cigars and this continuously repeats.
-black board with colored markers, usually green -explains clearly -taking it slow and steady -"ok let's use another color" -repeats himself as he writes it down The prophecy is true, dapz IS Sal from Khan Academy
This graph actually says that your dad would be standing right outside your home for an infinite amount of time. Like, imagine looking about your window 5 years later and your dads just been standing there slowly drinking the milk he bought 5 years ago.

@@angelabarrientos916 Praise be to the true God Horus, who died and was risen in 3 days 🙏 Repent for your blasphemous worship of the copy Jesus and you may know Aaru 🙏🙏🙏 In other words... No one cares.
Imagine a fatherless kid watching this with tears in his eyes. Edit: It's sad to hear there are many of you in the replies who lost their dads 😔, hope ya all have a good life, stay strong homies.👍
Hey guys, mathematics major here. Just wanted to let you know that although Dapz's math does seem to be a tad bit questionable in certain areas, you can rest assured that he is in fact 100 % correct. Your dad is never coming back. Also, I did a few of my own calculations and I was able to estimate that the probability that he ever went to the grocery store in the first place is close to none as you can see below: Average Retail Price Of Milk In The U.S. = $3.69 (Nice!) Amount Of "Milk" Money (In USD) That Your Dad Had On Him When He Left For The Store: $3.00 Therefore, 3.00 dollars - 3.69 dollars -------------------- - 0.69 cents - 0.69 cents =/= $3.00 In conclusion, based on the fact that your dad didn't even have enough money to buy milk in the first place, we can conclude that he was in fact using math to elude to the fact that he went to your mom's friend Tracey's house. Edit: Grammer misstakez,
@@JD-sz5pj my Spanish teacher did the same thing lol, I guess it got unfunny towards the end of the semester because of how many times she would do it😅
I was waiting for this lmao. Edit: Wait this is crazy lmao. I just came to this video after looking up something about Levi in the Manga! Shinzou wo Sasageyo my friend.
Professor, I think you forgot a variable. If we accept that my dads life span as an adult male will not exceed 100 years, when plugged into the equation we can see that, at least within the confines of this equation, my dad is already dead, and has been for theoretically infinite years. Now, because infinite stretches forward and backward infinitely, this also presents the genuine possibility that my dad has been mathematically dead forever, and was potentially never alive. This is the advanced mathematical principle known as "imaginary fathers."
@Reagan Neal I mean, if he was never alive, then he never existed to begin with. I guess there was never a dad to begin with. But if there was no dad, the I too must not exist. Therefore, who can actually be writing in this chat?
‘I’m Asian, I make maths rules.’ A professor of mine who’s native British said basically the same thing in a lecture, ‘I’m a mathematician, I’m allowed to define notations.’
@@omaryasin7326 its literally not. All im doing is calling f’(x) $&@. I changed the notation that describes the derivative of a function of x, because you can call anything whatever you want as long as you’re consistent with it
