Afraid we don't fully understand. How are you hoping to use FLkey? If you would like the pads to function like laptop keyboard keys, you can create a Custom Mode, assigning keys of your choice to the pads using the 'Keystroke' widget - components.novationmusic.com/flkey/custom-modes/new
That's right, the Scale and Chord features shown here are built into our FLkey controllers. Afraid we're not aware of a way of achieving something similar using a QWERTY keyboard but the Image-Line Team might be able to assist you with that.
