Author is totally wrong that it can't control 3rd party VST plugins. Have FL key mini. You can control ALL VST plugins. At least with knobs. You just have to switch to "custom" not "plugin" mode for 3rd party VST. And then "link all parameters". Takes about 10 seconds to get it all done. All those links are saved with project. So you have to do it once per plugin you use.
Perfect video for a N00b at the starting line like me. Thanks. I'm planning to buy an FL37 and FL Studio software, after testing both Ableton and FL. I seriously cannot digest the Ableton interface. This video was exactly what I needed to learn more about the workflow capabilities.
It is not clear to me how to change the scale in use on the keyboard using the SCALE button. I can't manage to do it. Which buttons or controllers should be used? When I press the Scale button, the keyboard defaults to the C Minor scale and stays there. Furthermore, I don't understand the correspondence between the keyboard settings and the scale already selected within the piano roll by selecting highlighting in the View menu. I hope you can help me, thanks! 🎹
I am currently saving up to get myself one of these bad boys. Hopefully I will have one sometime in September. Looking forward to spending the winter in my studio creating some mad tunes.
@@bendauber9200 Sorry, Been a bit hectic recently trying to get my woodworkshop up and running. I got the FLkey, and yup, I would recommend it. It flows really well into FL studio, and although it is a bit complicated to get your head around how to switch between the plugins the damn thing is a lovely bit of kit. It feels really well made, solid, and once you know what the various options are capable of, the creation of tracks and samples is awesome. definitely get this if you have the pennies to spend.
Sick! Can it control other plugins, e.g. UAD effects in the mixer? Most importantly (to me): can it display the actual (custom) name of the parameter or channel on the LCD? E.g. not "Insert 4", but "drums" or "piano" etc....
I can help :) please on my flkey37 when I press shift, only four modes light up (scale chord, user chord, custom and custum). Other modes do not light up
Hey, I’m about to buy a new keyboard for fl studio. I’m looking at the Flkey 61 and the native Komplete control s61 mk2. Do you know if the buildquality and the feel of the key bed on the flkey 61 are on the same Niveau as of the Native S61 mk2?
I’ve read it isn’t third party vst compatible. Please link any vids showing otherwise as I’d like to get one… Not being able to control non fl vst is stopping me!
Depending on your plugins I’d get get another controller that’s designed to do this. I have the Novation 61 and I can’t use it with FL so I have to bite the bullet and get either the 25 or 37.
