Great video Jonathan. I'm able to connect and control the camera, but I don't have any controls on the iPad (or iPhone). It just says "connecting", with my IP address and I can control the virtual camera, no problem. But there is no video feed, no buttons, anything. What can I be doing wrong?
my IPad connected to UE5 and the motion and everything worked but it won’t show up on my iPad. All i see is the connecting screen. On the computer it is fine.
Wow great tutorial! Would this be enough to mount the iPhone on a camera and feed the output of UE to a TV to be used as background e.g. for a real world product shot with CG graphics in the background?
Yup I migrated it from UE4. I'm going to post a tutorial on how I did it later today or tomorrow but basically you put it in a UE4 project then migrate it to your UE5 project
HEY I GOT IT TO WORK WITH MOVEMENT BUT I DONT SEE ANY THING BUT THE ''CONNECTING'' SCREEN ON MY IPAD. THE CAMERA MOVES AS I MOVE MY I PAD ON MY COMPUTER. HOW CAN I SEE THE CAM ON MY IPAD AS WELL?
If I use a desktop computer, and connect my ipad pro remotely, will I be able to watch the same as you with another wifi network connection? Thanks you so so much ♥

hi love these tutorials. i am trying this with the UnRemote app on IOS. It works but im getting not giro movment just getting the screen image sent to the ipad. One thing is that in Unreal 5 there is only a VCamActor in Virtual production not a VirtualCamer2Actor and it has the vcam sub component but it has different things set up by default. Any thoughts on this?

Hi, I’m currently using VCAM for a project I’m working on for a friend and I already have a sequence layer out and when I use VCAM to record my camera movements it always makes a new sequence when I want it to record in the specific shot I wanted it to be in, I tried using Track Recorder but it also makes a new sequence instead of just adding the camera movements to the project, is there a way to just record the vcam tracking and have it pop up in a specific shot sequence without it having to make a new sequence?

thanks for the tutorial. i have set this up and works but very laggy. my ipad movements and taps are reflected on PC window without any delay but the feed loads very slowly on ipad pro. any solutions?
I know when I changed my router channel to an higher channel with less interference that seemed to really help. I know every router is different in how to do this so I'd look up how to change your routers channel to an higher one might help
Great and usefull ! In my case, 2 issues : when i render the animation this is the wrong camera who shoot (even with a camera cut in sequencer) and i have the virtual camera app setting on each frame............strange..........
Hello, nice video, I really like your content. one question, can you export that camera tracked with your ipad as an fbx file? I tried it export but in 3ds max the camera has no keyframes, there is no animation.
I was able to get everything to work but my only problem is that the live link on my iPad is really jittery and lagging just a little bit. It's not as smooth as it should be. I have fast enough internet and I don't have raytracing in UE on and my rendering setting is set to 8bit. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
Is this the new M1 Ipad with the super screen?? I've been obsessing over it for a few days lol I want to grab one I have one of the reeeally old school 12" pros with the original pencil need an upgrade. This is really cool though thanks for sharing!
So the iOS one only supports rotation?! That explains why it uses only a gyro. The latency looks slightly better than the available Android solution though.

Basically no need for a M1 iPad, we good 2018 iPad Pro. So disappointed 2021 brings nothing new to the M1 and the Pro line if all iPads can do the same. iPadOS 15 trash to the M1. iPadOS 15 does it run two videos on safari for audio?
