Using the Knif Audio Knifonium synth plugin - a very analog-sounding synth 

After reading some BoC interviews where they said they "started with melody," I started with a simple melody and built the backing synth lines around it. Then I added some very simple drums. Now I have the basis for a track or maybe it's good enough as-is. All I can say is that Knifonium is a very analog-sounding synth plugin and it got me exactly what I was looking for on this one.
