That was really a wonderful video presentation you put together there. There were no special effects, bells, or whistles, or what I call “Digital Fillers and Fluff.” You gave pure raw quality content. And it was good! You took a dull, wet, and grey situation and created some beautiful artistic photos out of what you had to work with. I truly admire what you did. I am subscribing to you right now. Keep up the great work 😊
This camera amazes me everytime i use it. I bought 3 of them last year, all in excellent condition for avg price of $265 believe it or not. People were giving them away and i could not understand it. I have a few different newer cameras. Including the GRiiix , and the X100 still takes nicer jpegs most of the time. Truly amazing camera. It seems like people are finally realizing how good it is. Update the firmware and its a different camera than it once was.
I must try updating the firmware! I haven’t tried shooting JPEGs on this camera yet. I’d be really interested to know your JPEG recipe :) Thanks for the comment.
@@alenadee prices went down under 500ish. I really dont wanna sell one cause i know i have a perfect one in the box with leather case. The one i use is really good but it has a scratch on the lcd
Cool!! Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching. I think I got it off Amazon but it was like 2016 or something so not sure of the brand or whatever. Thanks 🎉
Although I already use my X100 classic since more than 10 years I can’t stop watching videos like this 😃 absolutely loved your video! Subscribed! Cheers from Cologne
Beautiful works! Since 2015, I use the X-Pro1, X-E2, X100T, X100F, and the X-T30 but somehow always get back to the OG X100. Then I realized that I just don't like the color characteristic of X-trans sensor (I'm an ACR user and never want to change to other editing program). But the X100 truly have the magic that I needed and therefore always have a place inside my travel bag.
Hey Man I just stumbled onto your channel on my homepage. I have to say, I really like your editing style and love the little eyecandy effects. A chill video for great inspiration! ♥ much love from Switzerland
Great video. Great to see someone from northern ireland. Definitely got a new subscriber here. Ur content is excellent. Dipping my toe Into RU-vid myself .
Nice work Ross cracking selection of images. I've had my X100 in a cupboard for years, bought it used in 2014 I think. I've since had the T, loved it literally to death, replaced with the F, which was sooooo good, plenty od vids on my chan featuring these cameras. I actually gave the F to my old dad as he fancied a smaller camera, he loves it I miss it. My plan was to get the V, haha, how dumb was I, so in a fit of total insanity I sold a kidney, a lung, and my left nut to buy the Leica Q2, that's been Interesting, love it to bits now tho' cracking camera. Anyway just for channel content I decided today to dig out the X100, see if I could still make it work for me. Looking forward to giving it a go soon. First thing I noticed was how small it is, I love that about the X100 series, stealth on steroids. Liked and subbed mate I bet ya hit 2k subs afore me.
@@rossandhisjpegs Its great mate love it, very minimal menu wise just the stuff ya need and nowt ya don't. Had a mare with it early doors, but thankfully Leica saved my arse. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QWXFVdP6plY.htmlsi=LTDtEiyrgMbisObE Can't recall ever using the Fuji recipes maybe Acros on the X100F. I have an X-Pro2 which knocks out some lovely images, to be fair Fuji is hard to beat imho.
Great video and amazing shots, really moody! The x100 is still a great camera! I've shot with mine since 2012 and decided to upgrade my X100 last year and have been waiting for a few months now. I still love shooting with it, but like you mentioned, the auto-focus is pretty bad when compared to newer versions.
I bought the x100 as my first camera a few weeks back! I love the look and feel of it and it’s amazing to see the results from other people’s experiences using it. Any advice on getting started with it? I’m a complete beginner! Great video
Good on ya. Yeah it’s a great wee machine. I personally choose my aperture and iso and let the camera decide the shutter speed. I think this works the best for this camera. I’ve got so used to the evf on my other cameras that I rarely use the ovf. I haven’t got a JPG a recipe together for the X100 yet but the RAWs from it are superb!! Hope your experience is as positive as mine :)
Set your iso to auto 400, max 800. Then you can learn shooting manual aperture adana Shutter speed and having fun through the EVF. Best way to learn manual. I've did the same with the x100 and now I'm having even more fun with x100v
Hey hey. Thanks very much! Nah not SOOC in this video. These ones are edited in Lightroom. I’m definitely going to work on a wee JPEG recipe for the future :)
Beautiful ! I want to buy my first camera and this one looks amazing. For how much can i get one ? And do you think it's a good first camera ? Thanks a lot !
Hey thanks a lot! Yeah might be a good camera to get as a first one although it is quite old. If you want to go Fujifilm I’d personally suggest an X-E4 or something like that with interchangeable lenses so you can try different focal lengths etc.
Hey thanks. I bought it off Amazon but don’t think they’re selling those exact ones any more… Maybe try Etsy, loads of local sellers on there or I just bought a new cool one for my X-H2s from Peak Design!!
i had this and it was fun for sure but it honestly felt limited to what i want... Do I regret it? a little bit but i managed to get myself into a RB67, however I would love to get a x100f or v... b&w is beautiful with this
Hey thanks for the comment. Yeah it’s fun to use but I feel limited by the focal length on the X100 range. The RAWs out of this camera are still super nice though.
why people kept putting these shixty instagram like filter on all x100 photo. the jpeg off the camera is plenty good and all these post processing made it looks like a cheap shot from any cameras
