I love how you guys stop to explain everything every step of the way. All the little details that you explain are what is missing from most other videos and those are the lessons you learn the hard way when you finally go to do the job yourself. I love it guys, keep up the great work. You are going to be a huge success on RU-vid this year.

Another great video. You guys remind me of when I first started watching the granddaddy of them all This Old House back when I was a kid. The attention to detail and willingness to redo something that was not to your standards is refreshing. Your customers must love you guys and I can honestly say your viewers do too. Keep up the great work.

One of The many difference between an expert and amateur tile setter is layout. An amateur just starts with a whole piece and whatever happens happens. You sir, get it. Your a true pro. I am an amateur but I always layout my own stuff. I used a long square piece of aluminum screwed down so the first line is all exactly lined up. Leveling was tough and boy would I have loved your system. IT would of been a game changer. It took forever since the last floor was rectified porcelain that was almost butted.

I used to work for an HGTV show. (Please No hate contractors. It was early days, so we didn’t teach people to demo with a sledge hammer or all the other crazy stuff like that it’s possible to do huge projects in days.) I know the tips, demos and skills taught here are top notch. I want to compliment the amazing camera work that it seems like Jordan is doing a lot of the time. Some of the shots outshine what the professional camera people I have worked with did. Really beautiful work all around. I love your show. Keep up the good work. I’m watching older playlists first. I’m so excited to work to present and see the evolution that happens

Once again a great job guys! It's nice to see that you not only show the end result but also the ongoing process and that a job can almost never be flawless. That gives actually something to learn! One thing I wanted to recommend: please try to avoid removing your clips from the levelling-system with a hammer. You should either be very carefully with the hammer or willing to replace a chipped tile. Personally I always use a piece of wood or otherwise the back of my tape measure. Have a great day Stud Pack!

Excellent work! I've been following this entire series. But, I did cringe as I watched using a metal hammer to remove the leveling clips from the floor. Maybe pick up a white/gray non marking rubber mallet for that. Even while being extremely careful, it would be too easy to chip or gouge the tile. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Looks great, as a tile contractor myself for the last 15 years, I can only shed a little warning on the 50/50 offset. Not recommended anymore. Check the specks on the tile. 1/3 is what is required for 12x24 tiles. But it’s still being done, but careful on your warranty if they fail.
@StudPack
@StudPack 3 года назад
Thx roadrocket. Yeah the box said 15-30% pattern. The owners wanted 50/50. I checked the tiles and they were perfectly flat so between that and the wedges it came out great.

Did you suggest to the owners to use a course of the floor tile on the shower walls, to give some added visual interest with a stripe or even two?
