Easily one of my favorite fights EVER. The giant shot Usman took early only to reset at that moment to come back and completely dismantle and break the spirit of Burns with a JAB.....

@Taurus 99 That was def the best I have seen in UFC. Stipe was losing the fight by quite a bit and then takes the advice and finished DC in the 4th. Legendary fight.
@@Acturiz I'm willing to be that over 50% of these casuals who say "Usman has the most exciting championship title reign!" or "Khabib Is the GOAT!" probably were never even watched or studied MMA during the 2009-2015 UFC era. Or even were alive to witness the greatness of fighters like GSP, Silva, Mighty Mouse, Cruz, Aldo, Shogun, etc. Even Kamaru himself has stated In a podcast that Jon Jones was practically the reason he got Inspired to take part In the career-path of MMA. And one of Khabibs Idols growing up was Pride legend Shogun Rua. Nobody can say what the future holds obviously, but the past greats and hall of famers of the UFC are as admired and respected for a reason. Because their talent will truly never be surpassed and will never vanish, until the end of time. Which Is why current titleholders like Leon Edwards still say Jon Jones Is the greatest to ever do It. And that speaks volumes.
Up until this fight everyone was disrespecting Usman always making jokes about the toe stomps but this fight and especially the Masvidal fight is where everybody started to finally give Usman the respect he deserved
@Caio Da Silva Barreto Adesanya is fun, when he’s gotta be dominant, but he’s sometimes picky and choosy about where he goes and what he does in the octagon.
I remember thinking stylistically like Burns could be the guy to dethrone Usman and for a second when he clipped him, I thought that was still the case. But it was all downhill from there. That jab is something else.

Usman is like izzy. In their weight class. Nobody couldn't able beat them. I think they both will stay champion for a long time or even probably retired as champion. Khamzat is one scary guy ngl. I've nothing against him. But he's need to prove more by beating 2/3 top 5 . Rn he just all hyped. And I still waiting for izzy gastelum 2 . Because Kevin is the only one legit his close fight and almost knocked him out.

Underrated match and Gilbert Burns is so underappreciated, Everybody says Colby was Usman's toughest fight, I have to disagree with this idea, Colby has no Ko power, Usman took his best shot and barely wobbled, Burns gave Usman more troubles than Colby did in 5 rounds, Burns really hurt Usman, he could win if he had better head movement

If you out this Usman vs the current top 5 Welterweights then he would beat Covington and Belal and current Usman BUT he would lose to everyone else like Khamzat, Burns, Edwards
Burns is in my opinion better then Usman...He is underrated für real...and dont say He lost ageinst Usman...bullshit...i Hope for Burns He will BE Champion one day...He deserved that...a real Lion Heart 🔥💯👊
sory..if you were in there on the receiving end of those punches likes burns head was, you would not be calling them low power at all..just look at usmans muscles; ALL the punches are HIGH powered
