Really enjoy these reports, I don’t think anyone else does them, good video, a bit one sided tho because only one of you really talks even though both seem to have good insight
I dont know what to exoect from Weston, but I think hes midstream of screwing up. His play and behavior is erratic, and I think he may simply fail downwards until not much is left. As for Matt Turner, most have realized the value isn't there. I won't mind his USMNT departure as soon as we can add a young one.
It’s looking more likely than not that this next move for Weston will be a bad one, which is concerning. I’ve wanted Turner gone for a while now and I’m hoping whoever ends up being the new manager moves on from him.
Yeah Wes worries me he came into the year in shape and was the best CM at Juve and played great then at the winter break he seemed to add the weight back and not play as well. I think the contract issue probably bothered him I think he wants more than he is being offered which scares me as far as MLS moves in the future. If he can just focus on the game and his body he will be fine but we'll see
Gio to fiorentina is a good shout Braden, just so you have to mention them again hahahah, can’t wait to watch Tessmann because against France he looked world class
I would love to talk about Fiorentina for the 5th straight transfer video! Tessmann is the player we’re most excited to watch at the Olympics, he’s going to play a huge role in our success.
I love these videos!!! I also try to keep as up to date with our young up and coming players. Any development focused updates I will watch! (Example: Cavan Sullivan) but I would love to learn about some more young potential players
I like these updates, but would be super stoked for more deep dives on the youth players you frequently highlight on Twitter. Either way, keep up the great work.
@@AMERICANULTRASTALK I'd love to learn more about the young 'uns (09-11 birth year), since I'm not as familiar with the academy guys both here and abroad. Honestly though, I'm sure whatever you two cook up will be awesome.
@@AMERICANULTRASTALK One of the most important component of youth development is the club they come from. A deep dive on players who come from Scott-Gallagher like Ream would be cool. Regional look at what players come from what clubs in each region would be awesome. Like up here in the PNW is the Yedlin story with Crossfire. Huge club for big names, lots at talent, and lots of controversy. Also the decision for some to sign to MLS and how that plays out if they eventually leave the US, now that MLS is trying to be more of a transfer league to improve revenue for the league. Interesting times!!
Agreed, Johnny stay at Betis with a lot of our players club situations up in the air. Hoping Gio is a starter wherever he goes. Like the updates because no one else is doing them.
Someone has to keep the fanbase updated with all the transfer rumors, might as well be us! As long as Gio is starting for a solid club in Europe he can go anywhere, I’m not picky.
Love these updates, I agree that Gio needed to go to the Olympics to raise interest from clubs but the kid doesn’t seem to make any good career choices. Knowing him and his dad they probably think he’s above that level.
It’s unfortunate that he seems to not understand the level he’s at, I’m just hoping some midtable club signs him so he can get a fresh start somewhere.
If they can adjust their system to play with a CAM, I think that would be a solid move. They have some great attackers that Gio could create chances for and need to get back to the top of the Eredivisie, bring it on.
@@AMERICANULTRASTALK Agree, also another club for him would be RB Salzburg. They are well known for developing players and they utilize CAMs in all their formations 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or even 3-5-2. He would be in a great situation at Salzburg
This segment is a must and should go viral, love the videos boys, I think someone mentioned, sometimes only one of you talks and it breaks the rhythm but very good job as always 💪🏻
I saw an article title a little bit back of Keyrol Figueroa and Cole Cambell i think that's his name the kid at Dortmund had both signed their 1st pro contracts. Have you guys heard or think that they might see a loan move or stick with the teams and play with 2nd teams or u21s?
Love this segment. Worried about Wes. In particular, if he does get picked up by Everton or some EPL or other high-level team… is he going to play? I almost think Turkish league or MLS is the best way to guarantee he gets playing time. Maybe I’m pessimistic, but he’s looked really bad the past couple of months.
Sadly, Wes has been disappointing lately, but then again, most of the US players have been. But the one positive for Wes is that he might be able to check off something I assume is on his bucket list: play with both Ronaldo and Messi!
i aint gunna lie i seen copa america the mls players where used to the field becouse they play there every day europe player struggle more goes against usmnt none them arnt used to field ethier
Ah y’all so harsh with my Luca. I think Weston is a bigger issue do you think his outside of the field activities are costing him I know he’s overweight I wonder if he doesn’t take things seriously. I heard a rumor Turner is going back to mls?
I think Weston just has some sort of body issue with his weight, he’s said in the past that it’s really hard for him to manage it even when he does everything right. Turner to MLS makes sense but that rumor was just because he went to a New England Revolution game (his old club), there’s no fact behind it.
Can’t believe you can have a 14year old child being allowed to play MLS Philly union and curtain should be punished for doing that it must break child labour laws it’s just exploitation of a vulnerable young kid
You guys push the whole go to Europe lots of players from concacaf and conmebol play in their countries leagues and in mx league and they play damn good. Way better than the usa with all their starting roster in Europe. The players can be in Europe but if they just sitting on those beaches they are not growing.
When we played a roster of MLS players, we didn't even win the gold cup. The implication that our failure in Copa is due to our players playing in Europe is very disingenuous.
@bryseisme2 mls isn't a South American league or liga lmx. Those leagues have almost 100 year histories and have produced legends of the game. Can mls say that. Mls is a retirement league again. What American players are stars overseas and don't give me the shit that pulisic is he's not he's a player on his team not a star. Yamal at 16 Is a star. Scoring in the euros being a starter on Spain at that age he's a fuckin star.
@bryseisme2 mls is not south America nore liga mx. And it was Greg running the teams so take that with a grain if of salt. Lots of teams compete with less talent they have good managers though
Gio won’t go to Atlanta but he needs a move asap, maybe even a Portuguese club just to get confidence and perform week in week out. Wes is doomed and I don’t have much belief that he can reach higher heights, this season was his prime. Not a fan of Johnny, for Real Betis he looks class but for the USMNT he was horrible in every game, you say the fanbase overprotects the players Yuri but you are giving an excuse for Johnny, yeah Gregg didn’t give him many minutes but every minute he got he was so bad and didn’t provide anything going forward and even less defending, not good enough. It’s impressive that you were the first to give Tessmann any sort of praise and now seems like every club wants him. Agree with Yuri, a season in the premier league would be the best for him to develop and improve. Zendejas wanted to leave to Europe so I’m hoping this renewal is just a way for America to get a higher fee. LDLT is a waste of a spot on the roster, I agree that if that’s the type of player we have back in mls to help young guns to shine in Gold cup, it’s the best option.
Anywhere that Gio can go and get minutes is a win for me (within reason of course, no MLS). McKennie does seem to be doomed and Luca is fading out of relevance, hopefully some of our many young midfielders can step up and take their spots. Johnny and Musah in particular need to find their form with the USMNT. Full props to Yuri for identifying Tessmann’s talent before anyone, he looks set for a real breakout season wherever he ends up. Zendejas might still want to challenge himself in Europe but I’m not sure if Club América will allow him to do that.
