I'd love it if they could beat a quality team instead of watching them fall to teams with a decent FIFA ranking. When the Olympics come up they can beat nobody teams but no ranked skilled teams.
@@gformont4150 They've beaten Germany, Japan, Brazil,Ireland and Colombia they have also drawn with Sweden and Holland. They have only conceded 2 goals in the entire year of 2023 and haven't lost a game in 2023 (PKs to Sweden don't go down as an official loss). I hope you get a little more informed about the team before you throw around wild statements with no backing
@@MarkPress-ge9nm For more than a decade the Netherlands has asked others to STOP calling their country "Holland." It's like calling the United States "Texas."
Great ball from Naomi. I think Coach Stoney held Girma, Dahlkemper and Sheridan back insisting they play through the lines against OL Reign. I'm already looking forward to next year. Go Wave. If only we had Alyssa Thompson.
Can’t wait for Emma Hayes to get here and whip this team into shape. Also looking for her to change up the stale lineup/tactics we’ve used for a while. This team still struggles to put away teams that they should be completely dominating. Need more creativity in midfield, and a higher work ethic (more runs off the ball when we have it, more aggressive pressing when we don’t). It’s been too long since this team won anything of note considering their talent and that they make more money and have more resources than any other national team on the planet. Right now they think they are better than they are…need a proper coach to bring them back down to Earth and bring that fight and edge back into how they play.
moron. These kids can't seem to center a ball to Morgan whose skills make the new kids look just like that. "KIDS" with lack of skills and no experience. The kids embarassed our whole country at the WC. They made a poor showing at the WC and cost the coach his job. I understand he was stuck with so many of the skilled verans injured but picking your roster from unqualified kids off the school playgrounds just doesn't cut it. What an embarassment.
Morgan has 121 goals in 215 matches = 0,56 goal/match, Smith has 14 goals in 34 matches = 0,41 goal/match. That being said, Morgan is more experienced and Smith is the future. Both have their place on the team.
@@thinhnguyen7119 your screen name makes me think you're Vietnamese so I'll be measured in my response to you referring to a god damned legend so negatively, shitbag. Sorry, that was as measured as I could be. Kisses, Bamboo
i wish ppl would stop blaming the new generation of players for the political stuff revolving around Megan rapinoe. they are playing real soccer and they're doing a great frickin job too. they won 3-0 and deserve their victory. they are a fantastic group of talented and determined young women.
It took decades to grow the game until it was popular, and only a few short years to tear it down. Don't expect the popularity to come back right away, nor for people to be quick to forget. At the very least, it will take years to recover from the damage rapino caused, assuming that no one else brings politics back to the forefront.
@@Lalaland-og9xr No, it was primarily because she took a knee during the national anthem. And I can believe that black people matter while also denouncing the political organization BLM. Yes she also caused damage promoting a political organization that encouraged violent riots that caused over $2 billion in damages (in which 100s of people were together without proper masking during the height of lockdowns). She also greatly complained about the pay gap, despite the fact that US Soccer offered them the exact same contract as the men, and they turned it down.
@@canebro1 what's crazy is that several football players did the exact same thing but nobody took it out on the entire team or sport. your double standards are insane.
Great new young team. If the players only focus on playing soccer, this team would be a great champion team in the future. Do not bring politics in the game like Rapino.
She's retired so you can't keep drawing from that (hate) pool anymore. YOU'RE the one who's bringing politics into this. And it's embarrassingly apparent.
Went to the game with my young daughter. She loves this team and it was the first time seeing them in person. She waited for half an hour after for the players to come around the stadium to wave and they never did. The Chinese players acknowledge their fans right after game. That was poor by team USA.
I was at the game also but had a very different experience...I saw most players stick around for about 25 mins after the game ended, they were giving away jerseys and cleats and taking selfies also saw some signing posters, but just a friendly reminder that you paid to watch a soccer game not go to a meet and greet the players owe you nothing more then 90 mins of good football which they certainly delivered today
I was at the game as-well...saw a lot of photos being taken with fans and jerseys being given away the player spent a good 25 mins out there with the fans which was more then enough, sorry you had such a poor experience
@@kellyeverett Sat in section 125. The Chinese players first went to the East stands to acknowledge their fans, then went to the west side. There weren’t many fans, but the entire team still made an effort to say thanks. Team USA stayed huddled in the middle of the field for 15 minutes. Someone came to get Trinity to do a TV interview. She walked down by where we were standing and waiting. The live show was in the south west corner of field. Some of the TEAM US players began doing organized ball drills on the north west part of field. The other players gathered there and watched. They never went around (at least in the 30 min we waited) and thanked the fans. Anybody there can verify my details.
kick off number 6, 12, 15 out of WNT. They always not touch hand in heart when sing national anthem. These girls are shy at the FLAG and the NATION who feed them.
Nice to know Rodman and Sophia feeling so good that they dance after scoring meaningless goals in meaningless games. Maybe a little less TikTok and a little more work?
@@PERNAVIOUS if anything I found the goal celebrations distasteful and also bad , the younger generations doesn't take anything seriously.. last thing they should be doing is focusing on goal celebrations. Especially Smith,
@@andreadecinto1630 who cares about the celebrations, USWNT won! People comment about the most littlest things, are country won and people are mad about it
Still having trouble watching girls that choked SO hard acting like they are accomplished, when these new players have done nothing but lose the games that matter.
I've been a fan since 1998. This is the worst rooster we've ever sent to the WC. This team is pathetic. What a horible effort requilding this team. When you ignore veteran players who's skill is so much higher than these younger players. I watched one game of the WC and was so disgusted with the USWNT's performance I never watched another game. The young players are an embarassment to the history of the National team. I won't be supporting the USWNT anymore. these women lack the skills to play in the WC. Give them another 5 years to learn some skills. Go back to the NWSL and learn something.
what a deeply terrible take lol. anyone who's been paying any attention disagrees with you. so clear you only watched one WC match. new kids barely had any WC minutes, whcih is why we did so poorly.
@@MarkPress-ge9nm exactly. i agree w u 100%. i can't believe that people still insist on putting down our players when they all have worked so hard to become part of the uswnt.
@gformont4150 how abt u tryout for the uswnt and see how much skill and determination it takes. this generation is full of very talented players who have worked very hard for this opportunity. before u judge them, learn how to play soccer yourself. i think its disgraceful to be putting down players that play for ur country. i get the whole political rapinoe stuff that everyone is bringing up, but leave the new generation out of whatever nonsense revolving around the veterans. the new players are a group of determined, kind, and talented young women.
