@@TheGrandJesterTabletop The TIE Striker, also from Rogue One was pretty cool too. Oh and cant forget the other support ship in Squadrons, the TIE Reaper, which was also introduced in Rogue One. Generally Rogue One had very good ship design.

(it was Clone Wars craft, created by company what went bankrupt long time ago and T-85 has comparable firepower). @@TheRezro if you didn't know, the y wing used in the sequels was a brand new and incredible design of Y wing, called the BTA NR2 Y-Wing. So no, it's not outdated, they managed to make something new but based off an old design heavily

@JB JG I'm not convinced a whole lot of post-launch content will be coming for this game, but I could see it. To fit with Disney/EA canon though, it would need to be even less agile than the Y-Wing while also less rugged, but packing the most firepower of any rebel fighter. The Empire would need a new ship as well. The TIE Striker would get my vote, but bringing the TIE Scimitar into canon would be a more appropriate counterpart, and the TIE Advanced V1 model is already in the game.

The reblion used a lot of stuff early on and even late in to the war used strange things. Even seprtist ships where used. But the U wing is closer to yavin while during jedi fallen order there where still full clone units aka purge troopers running about.

In the old Battlefront 2 (The one for the Og xbox/Ps2) game they did use the republic LAAT’s Most likely because there wasn’t a ship of the lander role available for the rebels back then

Unshielded and much slower, but possibly more firepower. The LAAT was a good ship for its time, allowing for large amounts of units to get to the field rapidly but the rebellion didn't have so many personal.

The LAAT is much more in line with the GAR and the clone wars as a whole while the U-Wing always just seems like the quintessential "rebel" ship, from the look to the purpose the whole thing just seems made for the rebellion and their war

That would be cool, I was a bit disappointed it wasn't included in the initial release. But if they do like a dlc system they could also pair it with the TIE Defender for a new class

@@jaydenwood2591 Eghm... B-Wing isn't same class type as TIE Defender. My Guess would be TIE Defender vs T-70 (or E-Wing, but I don't like that one) and B-Wing vs TIE Aggressor.

@@TheRezro i think the B-wing and Defender are better choices to in a sense divulge the 2 sides a bit. Plus both ships are iconic and are mainstays in the lore now (in the case of the Defender) so it makes sense. The DLC following up the B-wing and Defender could then add more obscure ships that also reverse the ship role types introduced with B-wing/Defender. Here would (probably) be E-wing (Defender contemporary) and the Aggressor/Punisher (B-wing contemporary) it would also allow for the reintroduction of these previously "non-canon" starfighters. (For the E-wing it would be the 1st operational appearance of the craft since legends)

Yeah max 8 people is rather a let down. But I guess it wouldn’t be as fast a craft if it carried more.

Well to the rebels, 8 soldiers is a lot of men as they had to utilize hit and run tactics along with covert missions
