Well a couple of things to mention about that. DJ will not be full speed during training camp. There's no way he's going to be going all out after 6 months of rehab off an ACL tear. He will miss valuable time learning the new playbook and meshing with Nabers and the new look WR corps.. Second thing is still related to the injury. Staff may very well be super cautious with him and just have him go through the "it's a day to day" decision. Meaning he's probably not even going to start until at minimum week 4. Lock will have a chance to prove he can do his thing, and if he does well I doubt DJ ever sees the field next year. If Lock sucks, then we will probably see DJ mid season. Wandale tore his ACL in November as well, and he missed the first 4 o games f the following season I believed even though he was at training camp.

Agree that DJ's recovery will take more time. I am a former QB with an ACL tear - took 2 years to get to the point where I didn't have to think about it. As for Drew Lock - I'll stand my ground and assert he's a No. 1 caliber QB. Working both with Pete Carroll and Geno Smith, Lock's game developed that emphasized his strengths and minimized his weaknesses. He seems poised to take over the lead QB role in this Giants offense.
