Yes. It's actually me, in a video again! Did you miss me?
So obviously at the time I made this I was in a foul foul mood which is a shame because I could have buried it a bit more. Aw well, maybe another time, like in a few years or when I'm very very drunk.
The game featured is Deadly Strike and is on the Playstation 2. It probably would have made an okay SNES game. It just came out a little late...

It was well over halfway into this video that I realised that I owned this game at one point! It was part of a 4-for-20-quid deal, it was only for an afternoon, and clearly I'd done a good job of suppressing the memory. I did exactly the same as Tennings - played it for about 20 minutes, saw absolutely no reason to give it the benefit of any kind of doubt whatsoever, and took it straight to the charity shop. I don't think I've ever determined a game was completely worthless so quickly.

As someone else here pointed out, this is part of a Japanese series of budget called Simple Series 2000. Most are very lot quality but sell very cheaply. However, I have to point out that Earth Defence Force was part of this series. Can you imagine buying that alongside Bass Fishing and Zombie Ambulance? Can you imagine playing those two and having the lowest possible expectations for EDF then actually playing it? You would LITERALLY **** your pants. 👽

I like how the fmv intro wasn't even reflective of the actual in-game content. Do any of those characters actually show up? Is the playable protagonist even featured in the video? It looks like a scrapped mid-90s 3D action game had its intro movie stripped out, and plopped into an entirely seperate game. It's just...stupid.

The putrid quality of this game makes me glad that North America never got this game, as it would've instantly sold very poorly there. Especially that there were much better games during this era like Devil May Cry 1 and 2. This game was released a year after DMC2
