Just a quick motorcycle maintenance video. Today I'm showing you how easy it is to replace the front brake pads. Sorry for the heavy breathing, allergies were killing me.
Beautiful V star. Enjoyed watching the video. It is interesting to see how your 650 BRAKES, are different Then my 1300. I actually have some new EB C Brake pads that I may put on, but my stock pads still have a little bit of life left.
Thanks, I miss that bike so much!! Watching your videos brings back memories. I never thought the brakes would be different but it makes sense since it's a bigger bike. The EBC pads were way better than my stock ones.
I just used your video yesterday. Thank you. Is one question. When I rotate the tire there's a light scraping noise. I believe it's to brake pad. I don't know if that's normal because I don't remember paying attention to it before. Your thoughts?
Quick question. What’s the purpose of pushing in the pistons? I just got my first bike late last year and I’m looking to replace the brakes this spring. Is there a reason behind pushing in the pistons?
Everybody shows me their special caliper mashing tools and then I pull out my trusty C Clamp collection. Does the same thing, at 1/3 the cost. The grease on the back of the pads really isn't needed since the pads are changed so often as compared to car pad, which could be on the car for years.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. There is fluid behind the caliper and when compressed it goes back up the lines to the master. Opening up the master just makes compressing the pistons easier.
Found your channel from knucklestv it is always a bit tough doing this kind of videos I have done a few good job ! I have subscribed check out my channel I post motorcycle content as well. I like how you edited this speed through good work. Nice looking Vstar I always liked them.
I'm just now seeing this. For some reason RU-vid marked it as spam. Thanks for the sub! I was actually wearing my helmet in this video and just recorded the audio through there.
