It didn't matter you got oil on the filter box. When I raced MotoCross we used to oil the filter and line the inside of the box with grease to catch more dust before it got to the filter. Amazing how much it caught.
Hi John again, I'll tell you how I did to extend the lateral support leg a little. I used a "Aluminium Support Plate Kick Stand Coaster Outdoor Soft Ground Parking" and attached a 10mm aluminum plate to it giving it the shape of the fixture. It doesn't get buried in the ground, like mud, for example, and it's very good at height. I would attach a photograph but I can't do it here. Hugs! Take care.
Great vid, thank you! These are two jobs I'll also be doing on my Wee quite soon so it's great to see how you completed them. Glad to see you went with the K+N filter, helped me to confirm that's definitely the way I want to go to. Off to watch your vid on raising the suspension right now sir, prior to making a final decision on which way I'll go when raising mine. Love my DL650, it's a great year round bike for here in the UK and goes pretty much anywhere, even got it around an enduro course the once 😂...but only once...for now 😉✌️
Good to hear from you sir, Glad to hear you are enjoying that V-Strom. The V-Strom is probably the best all rounder ever made... Good luck with your mods and thanks for watching... :)
Really enjoy all your videos, but adding an extra element to a better flowing filter , you might as well run a stock filter with oil & change it more often , ( just my opinion)
Hello there sir, good to hear from you. I have the SW-Motech ION Dual Position Foot Pegs on my V-Strom installed on a drop plate that lowers the pegs 1 inch. I don't think these pegs are still available from Twisted Throttle but you might find them on Amazon or Ebay. You can check out the SV Racing drop plate install here... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J7dyhgQlX2I.html Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
Hello there sir, good to hear from you. Yes I have a set of 2 inch Roks Risers on my V-Strom. The cables and hoses were plenty long enough for the 2 inch lift.... Hope this helps... thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)
