What a great, detailed explanation! I purchased a '94 E350 7.3 retired U-Haul with 205,000. I'm about to replace it and save myself a butt load of money!

Excellent, informative and complete. Well done 🤩 I replaced my pump 3 or 4 years ago now with a rebuilt maybe new over seas pump can’t remember and I am having a push back on the brake pedal and the brakes release. Kinda sounds like the pump again. Powerstroke Nation forum agrees that the reman or overseas pumps just don’t last like the factory ones. Would love to see a symptom diagnostic video of all the various quirks with these OBS Powerstroke vacuum pump, vacuum operated brake systems and vacuum operated everything else like “run the AC and if at idle it switches to defrosters while braking or just at idle then you have a vacuum issue.” That was from PSN forum. It would also be great is you had links for know trusted parts so we could support your channel by purchasing parts for our rigs through your links. 🤘👍 Also gave thumbs up and subscribed. Thank you again.

Bro the clip is honestly a lot better, especially if you don't use the right size hose clamp.

That's the same pump for a 97 F350 and the dash pot looks to be smaller than aftermarket. If it's an exact replacement it should exactly fit but the aftermarket Dorman and Cardone dash pots are a bit larger and internal components have imploded causing the pulley to almost seperate from the vacuum pump shaft causing damage to other components and area under the hood 🤔😖🙄

Great video Sean.I just bought a 94 250 7.3 and the fan motor for the AC and heater operates but no air coming out of the vents. Is the vacuum control you just replaced the one that supplies vacuum to the AC/heater doors ? Is that what I need to replace? Brand new to diesel engines.

The vacuum pump allows all AC movement. If the pump is too weak it won't move anything. The vacuum valves under the hood may be sticking, especially if it wasn't used for a while. The AC blower motor under the hood has to spin too. Hope this helps!

I say just buy a reman pump with the pully and bolts already installed and save yourself fiddling with the puller.

Pretty sure when you give it gas and let off the breaks the break lights go off

I feel that there is to much tell and not enough show. Otherwise I appreciate the vid.
