Love my 7kW Vaillant heat pump. It’s super quiet and so far it’s been spot on since Jan 2023. Keeps the home at a constant 21 degrees and the added bonus from powering it with my solar and home battery. I was paying £800 per year for my gas boiler when it was only 2.3p per kWh. Gas is now 11p per kWh so you can imagine how expensive heating the home and hot water is going to get with only 80% efficiency. I’m getting 380% efficiency with my heat pump and with the green tech in the home my yearly bill to run the heat pump is around £600 per year. Super cheap!

what’s the mini brick wall round the unit for? is it some sort of “bunding” to contain condensate or escaped propane? thx GMS

We have implemented it for extra protection to prevent any excess condense water from flowing onto the pathway to avoid a icy slip hazard in the winter. Aesthetically it looks neater too.
