What materials do they take? Dvergr stakes could be the best thing since sliced bread and I wouldnt know because I could never afford to burn all that iron for such a niche defense
a few notes here : the askvin can lay leggs. the askvin exists as a 2 star that is tameable. like wolf and boars. if you find and tame a 2 star it WILL lay 2 star eggs (50% chance if only 1 askvin has stars same as other tames) these eggs will hatch into 2 star askvins. these have 2400 health. TEN TIMES the health of a 2 star wolf. yes you read that number correctly. so its not even close. a seeker soldier has 1500 health without stars. so this thing can and will beat any other enemy it fights at 2 stars in a 1vs1 case if the other enemy doesnt have stars. it would not win vs some of the hildir raid enemies as they have stars themselfs and the minibosses are tanks. as for the spike defenses. no sane player used dvergr spikes to begin with because of IRON requirement. the new spikes dont use any metal which makes them even better. not sure thier dmg isnt bugged tough. it seems... exessively strong for how cheap they are to build. now remember trolls are weak to pierce dmg which these deals to the troll took some serious bonus dmg there to begin with. they are very good at killing weaklings tough. the test he did here where some of them got stuck in a corner is a bet skewed as the dmg zones of the corner spikes overlap which increases the dmg by multiple times. they wont kill this fast on regular flat wall. perfect for greydwarfs and the like tough. they are oneshot. and ashwood is a plentyful resource that beeing said it IS a somewhat limited resource as you cannot plant these trees and ashlands landmass is much smaller than any other biome in the gameworld. as for the builders who wanna mess around on the testserver there is a new recent bug : ironwoodbeams and flamemetal beams RESET each others stability. this means : INFINITE build height and distance. yes that a bug. devs where informed already. so dont get too used or exited about it. but enjoy it while you can ^^
Battering ram seems to be amazing for farming stone and other stone like nodes such as copper. If you can hit it head on it will blat giant chunks with ease. Awesome for making tunnels through the stone of mistlands rocks.
sorry to burst your bubble but... the trollstav does this... EVEN BETTER. the meteor impact will tear apart nodes and rocks. the ram is decent but it isnt really faster than a well developed pickaxe skill sadly due to it beeing very slow to fire again. that beeing said this is fairly useless for silver and terrian thats hard to move around in like mistlands rocks. for silver its useless because silver is only really used in gear and youre long done with that gear when you get it. of course its useless where it would have mattered : FARMING IRON.... its neat for copper and marble tough. but so is trollstav. you havent lived if you havent meteor mined a copper node. the impact area of dmg is nearly the entire node.
For a moment I thought you were going to launch that troll with the catapult. That would be trippy! And one step away from cow launches. Or even.. dropbears!
Hey, I really like your music choice for your videos, but if I may I'd like to suggest a potential OST for your building videos, it's the Made in Abyss OST and one example track I'd recommend is titled Made in Abyss. It's a very mystical, adventerous and sometimes dark show with a very fitting OST, and I myself am just a really big fan of Kevin Penkins work, the composer of the OST. Anyway hope you give it a listen!
Do you think maybe that stake damage is a bug? I can't believe they would intend for them to do that much damage. Although I guess for the area they're designed for maybe not.
