I have just recieved my saito 11g and have the valiant too. Going to have the same setup.. love the valiant and just hope its powerful enough for those beauty knifes....
How's the FG-11 going? I've just finished running the 1st of 2 I have in. Something I noticed when I removed the Crankcase cover to inspect inside and to see all is ok with my process, is I noticed the conrod has a casting shrinkage line running directly across the conrod about 3/4 the way up. I'm just checking in with other people to see if they have noticed anything similar with their engines. I pulled the back of the second engine and its the same. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers
Groetjes Daan
@@daanvandeneynde6925 Fg11 is still breaking in but i cant hold knive edge for long, laks a tad of power. Running 13x7 APC prop. Hopefully i will get more power when engine ages
Best way is with an tachometer, by sound is nearly imposible. make it to rich and lean it out till tacho maxes and drops a bit. Then richen again till max rpm minus 200rmp so a little richer than max. Same with low speed needle but than with increments, after each adjusment give a short burst of throttle to remove excess fuel. After low speed is set redo the high speed as it is dependant on low speed. As engine runs in it will run richer so you will need to do this after a couple of flights. Time between needing adjusment will increase.
