it’s so obvious that race had some effect on the events. calling the music “thug music” and, in the beginning of the video, in the phone call between him and rhonda he said “they’re just violent”. he may have been talking specifically about the people he shot at, but it very likely could be that he’s saying that black people are violent, which is a known stereotype. this along with calling them “thugs” and “thug music” makes the idea that race played a part in this attack almost impossible to deny. the fact that he repeatedly called himself the victim, EVEN THOUGH HE’S NOT THE ONE WHO’S DEAD, shows how entitled he is to think that him murdering an unarmed 17 year old kid was justified because the kid insulted him. like, really?!?! an insult is grounds to MURDER SOMEONE?!

At 54:35 you can see Michael's lawyer make a gesture towards his eye as a signal for Michael to start crying and getting emotional. I also want to point out how the prosecutor is an absolute genius in the way he seizes the opportunity to talk aggressively towards Michael knowing full well that bruising his ego will trigger an aggressive emotional response ("You were not there") much like how Michael reacted during the night of the murder because some kids were talking aggressively towards him and hurt his ego.

The fact that he claimed the role of the white man being threatened or attacked by “thugs” or black men and him having the right to defend himself against them is disgusting.. this is him trying to use his white privilege tbh, and yes I’m making this about race because it is indeed about it, he continuously calls them thugs and then says he was scared for his life yet he went back to the hotel ordered food, walked his dog, and was calm. He felt that by him using the white man being the victim against so called “black criminals” would work out for him and I’m glad that it didn’t because upsettingly it’s worked for others. Love that the guy who pulled out a gun and started shooting at unarmed people is calling the kids thugs. He’s literally insane, how does he not care?! It wasn’t even like premeditated like a lot of these we see, but like how does the father of the groom just start shooting at kids for playing music too loud(keep in mind his wife was getting wine and would be back in 2 minutes, and the driver of the kids had just come back to the car, one of you would be leaving and it wouldn’t be a problem)

While my step father and I were driving on the high way, a car shoots past us and cuts us off. The car moved so fast we couldn't see the driver. Despite this, my step father says, "Fucking Bl*ck idiots" in Chinese. I immediately say, "You can't say that, you haven't even seen the dude." Rhonda is blurred in the police interview due to the fact that she is a witness not a suspect. Her reaction in such a stressful situation can be used by people to imply complicity with the crime despite her not being aware of the situation until after the shooting and her apparent desire to inform authorities. In public venues she isn’t required to be blurred but in the context of a witness interview it’s defending her innocence when video is released. Imagine the combination of fear, sadness, and confusion if your romantic partner just shot a vehicle of teenagers, claiming a threat, finding out that lives were lost, then not sure if you’re also a suspect, wondering if your actions before or after the shooting look badly upon you, and your partner has a been arrested- you would have limited control over facial reactions or posture. When giving testimony in court she was still nervous and full of likely conflicting emotions as she cares for her fiancé and feels compassion for the victims and their families.

I think in this case he is almost more smug than guilty. I genuinely think he thought it was more like a chat than an interrogation. He didn’t realise how serious it was so didn’t think to get a lawyer. Additionally a lot of people think that they will look guilty if they ask for a lawyer

22:37 I assume the footage was already blurred (in the sense of JCS didn't do that), because it was released to the public when she wasn't known yet.

He shoots up a car because the music was bothering him?! There are cars with music volume at MAX that go by my house at 4 am, but do I find a gun and try to kill them?! No!! I sigh and get over it!!!!

I was told on another channel that Rhonda has moved on and re- married. I hope it's true.

This is why you should have a lawyer with you during the interrogation. I think they said you do not answer any questions until you consult with your attorney and the attorney is present.

I was so upset then around like 50:55 Rae said “cry.” And right before that she was like “no restroom for you get a bucket” or something like that and I started crying laughing 😭

I really am curious as to what song was playing cause the boy could have been rapping lyrics and the guy thought he was talking to him🤔🧐 Not that he is excused for shooting at teens cause he thought the music was too loud 🙄

To be honest both sides are wrong; (1). If the guy didn't turn the music back up again nothing would've happened. (2). The old guy was threatened but he should have shot in the air to scare them away as one of them scared him and threatened to kill him even though he was unarmed He shouldn't have aimed them or their car, that was a wrong move because okay he was threatened but nothing had happened yet, so shooting in the air was the best solution. (3). Parents should always teach their kids to respect old people, he asked them nicely and yes 3 of the guys were respectful and agreed to turn it down but the 4th guy just ruined everything, let's all be honest.

Or, now hear me out, he could have not decided to park next to the people playing the music and/or minded his own business. You make it sound like they were equally wrong and they were definitely not.

@@hinata1ize Have you ever heard of ", Disturbing the peace" ??? Seems like you haven't It's like making other people uncomfortable by smoking next to them or turn music so loud that disturb them ,etc... They went to buy stuff from the store where else could he park ? Is it necessary to have the music that loud ??? Just keep it for yourself or at least close the windows of the car and turn it on to the maximum we don't care as long as we're not bothered. They're both wrong ((equally)) Not talking about the other 3 guys because they were nice I'm talking about the 4th guy who started threatening him Both the 4th guy and the old guy who shoot are wrong equally.

Those boys did an amazing job staying calm during all of this if the man that killed my friend in front of me was sitting across from me i wouldve also caught a case good on them for not letting emotions take over
