In my countless playthroughs, I have never once skipped the intro. The combination of the beautiful visuals with this amazing song resonates deeply with my emotions. This has never failed to get me in the mood for Valkyria Chronicles.

Lasertech Studios i always loved the style of placing this style of orchestral music with a story filled sequence. like final fantasy xiii op etc. definitely does set the mood

The anime was awesome. I never played the game but if the anime wasn't good I wouldn't have watched it. Very serious and the appropriate psuedo WW2 style story but with a sci fi flare and good human character stories. The music is amazing too. almost a decade later and I still remember the characters. I will always love the original since I heard the later games didn't have as much character depth.

FUCK the A-ranks. I can't tell you how many times I've had to reset the game because I got killed rushing and not taking my time. The problem is that you NEED those high rankings to train your troops, upgrade your gear and survive. The game isn't hard if you take your time, but you NEED to rush for the XP and money. I wish the game was a bit more balanced so going slowly and killing everything/keeping your troops from being KO'd would be just as viable as rushing to the end.

Nah, the people behind Skies of Arcadia and the Sakura Wars games made this. SEGA just published it. Sonic Team are the devs responsible for most of the Sonic titles. Totally different teams.
