It helps a lot that it's free from the anime lechery that afflicts other games (like...say, the 4th game). They just happen to fall in love talking to each other and hanging around one another as opposed to stalking one another like creeps.
2 different Valkyria, Selvaria and Alicia. Selvaria was ordered by the man she loved to sacrifice herself for the sake of his ambitions against her wish. She died as a suicide bomber with a broken heart. Alicia on the other hand was determined to sacrifice herself but was stopped by the man she loved. How can fate be so cruel to one of them but be so kind to the other one -_-
Seriously, in the world of video games, HOW IN THE WORLD did Prince Maxillian and his army afford to make a giant tank?!?! I guess thats where all the tax money went.
The Empire cornered the market on gold rings and used them to fund the projects of some Doctor shaped like an egg. At the end of the war most of those gold rings depreciated in value and where scattered to the four winds. Now they are collected by kleptomaniac blue hedgehogs
Well after WW1 people actually thought that tank warfare would eventually end up with "Land Dreadnoughts" like the Marmota! Of course Reality is very different than what people imagined back then.
The mission may not be very interesting, but I like the concept plot wise. The Marmota is effectively invincible, so you run while trying to slow it down. The cutscenes at the end are just great. Still wondering how Ellet was even there.
From the first part of the walkthough i always knew that Welkin and Alicia are the perfect couple and i was right when they kissed. If love is a battlefield these two earned that victory!
As romantic as that scene was their lips almost remotely didnt look like it was touching each other XD still that was good scene but then we gotta remember there's a land dreadnought on the loose
Although I never made it past The Battle of Naggiar, totally worth it for me to spoil ahead the missions myself. Great episode once again, waiting to see how you tackled the next one!
I wonder of the Marmota has Frank Klepacki on its sound system. Seriously, the thing wouldn't look too out of place in a C&C game, aside from pseudo-WW2 era technology its using. Would have been a better idea to have built a MARV instead of that Marmota, if they had the tech. A MARV can take a direct hit from a nuke without slowing down AKA a Valk's final flame might not be enough to take one out. 2 Valks, maybe, but 1 probably wouldn't be enough.
Silly Omega, you expected Welkin to pay attention in battle? Kris was clearly doing everything while Welkin was trying to catch a butterfly Kappa. Still my fav proposal in gaming :D
Actually it follows standard German naming convention from WW1 and WW2 where even their Sidearms had this trend (I.E. the Mauser, which was bigger than any Allied pistol, and also IRL "Batomys" is a genus of Squrriels in Malaysia.)
Thumbnail says all we need to know. ;) Might be a boring chapter, but that cutscene at the end is worth it. Oh and the totally not evil noble guy was actually evil. Plot twist, I guess(?) :P
