CODA There are certain things I like better than Souls. The class system is an absolute joy with how fluid it is. If you want, you can change your entire class in the middle of a boss fight. Also if you like anime, the story and aesthetic should be right up your alley. In terms of level design and raw gameplay elements though, Souls remains king.
@@MinniMaster The story goes nowhere near the end. It all made sense up until Mido died, then it got confusing and they forgot half the plot they build up. The class system doesnt change much except a few different minor abilities and weapon damage. Levelling up and armor are useless, since its like sekiro: you always die in 2-3 hits. Just that sekiro compensates that with a very good parry system.
CODA I won’t argue in regards to the story, since that’s mostly subjective and I do agree with you. I do, however, disagree with your points about the class system. Your choice of active and passive gifts and what combinations you use dictates almost your entire playstyle. Mixing and matching gifts from different codes to create a specialized build is really satisfying, made better by how easily you can swap between them. If you don’t find any differences between the classes, you’re probably not messing around with the customization. Leveling is less important than Souls since your stats are governed by your code, and armor never really mattered in Souls either. Even then, armor plays a bigger role here because it also affects your drain attack and magic.
@@MinniMaster Did i say there is no difference or did i say there is a minor difference? It doesnt matter, since R1 spamming with a Greatsword for massive stagger and damage is all you need to win. And armor did matter in souls. Maybe less in 3 since armor has no poise ability anymore, but atleast you could have different looking armor sets, and not just capes in different colours. The blood veils are, for the most part completely boring and i never felt a difference between the strongest one on +10 and the weakest one. After i played through the game it felt more like Dark Souls 2: Free2play Edition, than its own game. The only good thing is the editor. Tons of copy pasted areas, tons of copy pasted enemies. What are my gifts going to do if there is zero replayability?
The algorithm thought I wanted to learn about Atelier (which I did) and I thought, "wow, she's so chill". I found out that this came out on my birthday and it's like "okay she has no chill" LOL it's like I'm getting a deeper look into your personality, which is great, thank you. This was such a treat to watch and experience. 😂💕

@@yudeshbadal5199 1. The gameplay lacks weight and doesn't feel satisfying. It lacks that ohmph. 2.The environments are unispired and look too similar for the most part of the game. You need to play more than 4 hours too see something different than broken steets and concrete for example. 3. The pacing is pretty bad. You can spend hours in the same uninspired area without making progress. 4. The Boss fights are kinda underwhelming. You don't need pattern recognition and smart plays. It's dodge to win and the bosses aren't that smart. I would give it a 7.5 at most. It's not worth 60 bucks imo.
I had so much trouble trying to get the hair in this game just right. I went from too dark and saturated to too light and desaturated, anything with colours that i can change has to be perfect in any lighting or else it really starts to bug me. and the hair clipping through the collars of some clothing was annoying too
I have concurenntly recreated my character 3 times, thank god there is an in game ability to change your character with the exception of what gender they are
I've noticed that whenever I get to play a female character in a game, like Lara Croft or Amanda Ripley, etc. my instincts totally changed. Instead of having a "male power fantasy" I just wanted to protect her from danger, so I played more conservatively.
I almost never make waifus. I often lose interest because I don't feel like I am in the right headspace to properly roleplay them. But sometimes...you just want to make something pretty...

I know right, Even Aurora has Karin. Mido is an asshole because he has nobody. In all three endings Io just nopes out and either disappears, turns to stone or becomes a tree.
@@ozmul5810 honestly I would turn into a tree too. I'm also curious as to why Io taking on the relics leads to the tree, but if we do it, we become the Queen.

I added the scar and eye color too. Lol. I put red in one eye and blue in the other (not knowing when revenants go crazy their eyes turn red and Cruz/the Queen's eyes are blue and our characters have her blood XD)
Same reason I gave my character the flaming red arm on my second playtheru. Because Yanno, I fisted the Queen to death with it then got shot off a cliff.

@@mathdarven5634 My only gripe is that you can't change a lot of things after the first creator. Gender is locked, the voice, and a lot of the facial features too ("can't change the things you were born with"). I hope they could fix some of that so I could have made both male and female OCs.
I made an awesome brunette with alabaster skin and blue eyes. And I made her face reflect the light beautifully, with the face paint assets and subtle metallic silver. :)

@@jmspikey The descriptions of the queen metals (which every weapon in Code Vein is made out of) points to it being material similar to Oracle Cell weaponry, albeit likely a weaker prototype product due to being cut off from the rest of the world and its advancements with the red mist. So the Revenants can technically fight Aragami, but not efficiently.
