The Operator is one of the most contentious weapons in VALORANT.
While the OP is exciting to watch in the hands of a pro competing in the VCT, it can also be the bane of a team's existence when picked up in ranked play.
Use the Operator, get called an OP crutch. Enemy using the op? No counter play and your team dies one by one trying to ego peek. But the question is, is the OP actually good in VALORANT? And why does it have such a bad reputation in ranked?

The op is literally so easy to avoid if you have a decent team comp of even just smokes then again I play neon and raze so it’s easy for me to gain distance

Every game with it, i have one of these issues - the op user is much higher skill than my entire team (like 20 kills to our 6) - the entire enemt team is opping (no sites are safe to peek) - my teammates dont understand how smokes work - teammates refuse to use abillities The ammount of games where i get people who are legitimately new to the game Or with people who dont understand the different between defending smokes and attacking smokes Is too goddamn high I enjoy initiators and sentinels, i play controllers because no one knows how to use smokes Even then, teammates will run through smokes and get shot

Honestly abilities like Jets dashes and Chambers TPs are the biggest problems. I think abilities like those are just inherently imbalanced/bad for the game. You can't get away with holding these absolutely braindead angles in counter strike cause you will get traded out after 1 shot, you get away with it for free in valorant routinely. if you mean the description, it was added to tf2 years before valorant came out and is probably about cs/css community servers restricting awp usage instead

It isn't really that problematic, at least not when you are pushing in. The problem comes when you are holding an angle. There is no way anyone is going to out duel an operator if the enemy has decent aim

@@numberyi That is if you even have your utils. Mostly it's when it's the mid/end of the round, where most people already used up their utilities. At least when someone is holding an angle with vandal or phantom, or any other gun that can one-shot with a headshot, you have the chance to outudel them, even if they are holding the angle. But with the operator, they can just aim anywhere, without any skill.

@@enesutku34 The only issue is that Operator doesn't require aim. I have seen e-thots who can't even shoot straight with Vandal, teamwiping like it was nothing. And not even silver or gold, but actually diamond elo

Judge with Viper on B. In Sunset is Nightmare. With her wall only she can isolate 3 choke points and wall entrance. Then with a Judge inside the pockets she created it took nearly 3-4 util to clear just B entrance

never felt like op is overpowered in valorant, i thought in cs go it's more issue cause of reload speed, in valorant miss shot could be punished easily. judge yes, it's always the problem cause of the fukin speed

the problem is Jett, Reyna and Chamber, they all can get away instantly after taking a shot. add a slight delay between when the op was shot and when the ability go off and the problem is fixed

The problem is movement options/base movement speed. In csgo u move faster and can jiggle peek way more faster, therefore it was way more easier to bait a shot and not get hit + flashes/smokes. Meanwhile on val, top speed is so ass, u cant really bait effectively on val with your movement alone. Lol riot shld jus buff top speed

You are smoking if you said awp in cs is more balance then in valorant"s OP. You can, infact, perfectly fine and still able to rack lot of kills in deathmatch while using awp in cs thanks to the quickscope and how easier to use it. In valorant? If you take out the movement ability, OP really (and should be) clunky to use from slow ads speed to ads movement speed. But aggressive OP in valorant is the problem, the problem is like day 1 apex legends"s wingman or any 1 ohtk sniper in warzone. Sure it's high ceiling gun, but the moment you reach it, your enemy cant do anything about it.

Counter-Strike's AWP always has been and still is fundamentally broken -- good luck trying to have any fun in deathmatch when literally half the server is using it -- the difference is that smart use of utility nades will always be 10x more cost-effective against one in a 1v1, so it's not as awful in gamemodes that allow nades. Valorant feels more like CS Deathmatch in a way then; can't buy smokes and/or flashes because of the character you chose? Have fun juking a *_literal one-shot bodyshot shotgun-rifle hybrid monstrosity._*

I don't think it's necessarily a fair argument to say that the cs awp is more balanced just because it doesn't really get changed. Nothing in cs gets changed. How long was the krieg overpowered for again? You could've said the same thing about it before it finally got nerfed, "must be balanced since it doesn't really get balance changed".

Before I finish the video, OMG WHO CALLS THE AWP/OPERATOR A CRUTCH LOL. Fellas its an expensive gun thats heavy to carry around. Its a high risk high reward kind of gun (while some pros can use it effectively at close quarters, your average player cant and thats risky enough. Okay BRB ill finish the video.

Perhaps Valorant can make new agents that can counter the op. A new agent can have armor ability that allows him to take one op shot. Alternatively, perhaps a new agent can have an ability that reduces damage for a certain amount of time.

Nah awp is pretty brocken in cs. Communities just have different cultures. Valorant is for crybabies gen z zoomers who can't just play the game. Ca is for big floppa red pilled gigachades who enjoy the game for what it is

Valorant still has huge peakers advantage. I still think the most problematic gun is the Phantom. The spray is too easy to control, it's first, second and third shot are way too accurate and it's also accurate while moving.
