I am a passionate collector and dealer of antiques. Stamps are one of those categories that is extremely difficult for me to learn. When it comes to the varieties of each stamp it's next to impossible to tell for me. Coins are similar in that sense, however stamps are a bit tougher to appropriately appraise in my opinion. Years ago I sold a whole collection of American & international stamps for around $750. I dedicated time researching for months straight but couldn't completely value them efficiently. The collection was probably worth 100k+ now that I think back to what I had. I gained additional knowledge since then but still only scratched the surface.. I had a ton of very early envelopes that were hand stamped by the postmaster from countless countries along with early American cities. After selling that lot I learned those in particular bring insane value. I had a bunch of peculiar stamps that some semi heavyweight collectors didn't even know what they were, some of which that seemingly had no record of their existence. I even paid to appraise some online but they had no clue.. I wish I saved pictures to know what I lost out on. Since then I learned. In many cases if I can't find much or any history on a item after extensive research it typically ends up being something that is museum worthy or something that has great significance by uncovering a lost piece of history. Unearthing items like that is the magic of antiquing. There is still so much undiscovered or forgotten in this world. It's funny to think that so many people are sitting on gold mines and don't even realize.. Anyways I know these are foreign stamps but I just found the purple 3 cent and red 2 cent Washington stamps. How do I determine if they are the rare ones? Even after looking at the guides I really can't tell... It's so irritating. Would appreciate any help! 🙏
I would like to mention that between the stock pages, the protective interleaves are not "wax" paper, but are "glassine". I don;t want the new stamp collectors to use the wrong type of paper to protect their stamps and may eventually ruin their stamps.
Tanganyika (TAN-GAN-YEAK-AH) is now Tanzania (Combination of the regions of Tanganyika and Zanzibar). It was part of the British East Africa and formally part of the Kenya, Uganda & Tangyanika. They all became independent countries in the 1960's.

Every viewer please spread words around to young generation to your relatives, friends on what is Philately, the dieing hobby. My son and daughter have been injected philately, the recent visits to relatives and some friends are motivated. So atleast my son is involved. Agencies need to invest money on media publicity too and hold regular exhibitions through philately societies.
The first two stamps from British Guiana are early and they do have value, depending on condition. The black stamp at the top needs to be checked for perforations. The stamp on the bottom of the British Guiana page is from Bechuanaland. You were unsure as to whether some stamps belonged to Latvia. That is correct, they were issued under Russian occupation in 1919. On one of your last pages, you have a stamp overprinted “alberghi” that you said you had no idea where it was from. It is a revenue stamp from Italy. I have some of these stamps on a 1925 hotel receipt from Milan , Italy. Quite a few stamps which you showed, especially the British Colonies, should be checked for watermarks, in order to know their values and to know where they belong. Your Scott catalogs can guide you with this. Even common looking stamps can have a rare variety, so it is good to make good use of your catalogs.
At 10:18 - British South Africa Company is now the regions of Zimbabwe & Zambia also known as Rhodesia. Under that you have Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika, and also G.E.A. which is German East Africa (part of British East Africa region).
On the page of Malaya, I saw one stamp inscribed “ Singapore” on the bottom. Despite the common design, Scott lists stamps with this inscription under Singapore. The second stamp from the left at the top of the third page from the back is from Libya 1955 or 1960.

But don´t worry: Most are fakes and I have from the barquitos only one where I know it is genuine. And it looks different from the two you have. Same the Suez Kanal stamp (Egypt). Very difficult to get an origin.
