Love this vidoe! My necklace from VCA looks quite dirty from wear/skin oils. I have been tempted to use a little water hoping it would clean it a little and help even if it's frowned upon. Ah idkkk. When I asked in store, they couldn't really give advice oddly. Mine is a few years old now and I do my very best taking care of it. I try be aware of the side that touches my skin when placing my necklace on since that is the side that shows the wear and tear. lol sounds silly but at least the side facing up looks better and its hiding the opposite side.
If you have a microfiber jewelry cleaning cloth and a soft jewelry brush, you can easily clean the the dirt and oils from your mother of pearl without using water. I also believe there are a few jewelry cleaners meant for mother of pearls.
Great review. Does layering the bracelets result in any chipping of the mother of pearl by the Cartier pieces? The look of VCA are so feminine and pretty, but I wonder how it will wear.
Fortunately, it hasn’t happened. I’ve been wearing it like that for almost a year and no chipping has occurred. Might be a different story with vintage pieces:
