This kinda makes me sad. The 80s were a special time. There is no more radio. And this represents a lost era.

It's great to hear that this was recorded from listening to 103 KDF, Nashville's Rock and Roll station.

Hearing Mike and Al do an interview together is awesome!

I recorded this interview on cassette back in 1988 as well as the next week when Ed and Sammy were on. Pure nostalgia for me.

Listened to the two day event...I think it was 2 days...worked at a grocery store got ride home from family ate dinner and listened intently at 11 or something like that

These were great times for being a Van Halen fan. I remember listening to this episode AND the next one...two shows in a row? WOO HOO! I waited for a long time to get through with my question and no dice.

Really enjoyed this! Al “knowing” that Louis was Sammy after 2 seconds and being WRONG gave me a hearty laugh 😂 Then, Sammy actually calling up to make fun of him for it (“We found out he’s blind, now we need a hearing test because he’s deaf too 🤣”). What I really like is the respect Mike was getting for his harmonies. Thanks for posting so much rare media that I have never heard before.
