One year has passed. Another intimate, acoustic Van performance remains only a dream in my brain. This puff of smoke from 1973 remains, however. Its' magic undimmed by the decades. Bless you, Jones Hicks. The room is filled music!
I love this version. For me, it's the peak of his RTE studio performance. The bootleg of that music is Holy Grail for some Van fans. And music becomes you, and you are the music. If the Belfast Cowboy were to broadcast intimate show, it certainly would lift my spirits. Until then, thank you,JH, be safe, stay home and listen to Van Morrison!
I have this bootleg, well worth looking for - this song being the highlight. Ivan - I know you don’t give a fuck about what your supporters think, but you should do what your mates Dylan and Young have done and start your own bootleg releases. Don’t look back? Even Dylan got his team sorting that stuff out - why can’t you?
